Yep. You lose a lot of strokes by missing greens, bad chipping and putting. I'm more about keeping the ball in the fairway. And giving myself better chances at the hole. 60-70 foot putts don't help your score.

Played three times on this vacation trip.

World Golf Village
King & Bear - 102
Slammer & Squire - 99

Hilton Head
Palmetto Dunes RTJ Ocean Course - 104

Drove the ball well, putted well, everything in between was an adventure. But I had a blast.

I feel your pain ryno. Dont give up hope. Are you getting lessons? Went to the range today for the first time since Saturdays lesson. Started off horrible, dropped the clubs, took a walk and breather. Started taking a really slow back swing and concentrating on the swing plane and by some miracle started hitting them. Never shanked another one. Now who knows what tomorrow will bring but I now know how to correct them and what causes them, which I had no idea before Saturday. Hit some of my best drives and 4 irons in a month. Was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and felt so relaxed afterwards. Can't wait to go back and get another lesson and show him I can actually hit a ball

Yea he just put me on retainer, I'm drafting the contract for the match between you two. I'm thinking a PPV night event like Tiger used to do. We will have cart girls selling Boone's Farm, Sweet Red, White Cans and cigs.

I have a $50 pro shop credit for my closest to the hole awesomeness today. I can't hit my driver to save my life now but I'm crushing my 3 wood. I'm thinking about one of those little mini drivers. I also want to try out that big Bertha alpha. Any opinions on either one?

Eta talked to Chris popp at the course this afternoon. He used to be married to my cousin. I have to find a time that works for both of us but I got a free lesson at le triomphe

Played a crazy 9 at the local goat ranch. Played against my son and his two friends (good thing they are good at soccer cause they suck at golf). They played best ball scramble style from the ladies tees and I had to play from the tip on each hole. I also had to putt with my 3 wood and they had 3 do overs where they could make me do a shot over. I shot 43 and they were around 54 or 55.
