If it feels good, then roll with it. Putters are all a matter of personal preference IMO

Ya, I like the weight and the feeling of the milled face.

Thoughts on the Cleveland Classic putter? Found one 9.5/10 with the grip I like for $70.

Not a bad item. After purchase I suggest you take it some place to be fitted for length, lie and loft. Proper lie helps you repeat striking the ball in the center of the putter, Proper loft well help with the roll on the ball. Main part with loft is to limit the amount of time the ball leaves the ground after being struck

This. Don't know if I could ever use a long/belly putter or a mallet. I got an Odyssey white ice last season and I love it

I putted for the longest time with a $9 putter from Academy. Bought it in college and just never upgraded

haha

I started out with a hand-me-down driver, 3-W, wedges and putter and bought a set of top flite irons with a bag for $40 off craigslist. I only upgrade when I start feeling confident in that swing/shot. My next purchase is hopefully gonna be a custom-fit driver. I'm losing less balls off the tee and getting more 2nd shots out of the fairway/"1st cut", so I think its time for that upgrade.

With my putter, it wasn't lining up well with my stroke type so I was getting more consistent but not accurate, so I def needed a new putter. And its as smooth as titty skin

Most of my first clubs were hand-me downs from my FIL. Gave me the first edition Big Bertha, the kind of burnt orange burner driver, a wilson 5 wood that i used until last year, and a set of silver scots that was missing a 7 iron

So did mine, kind of makes you wonder how much more performance you can get out of a $300 putter

Its not some much about performance its about quality, specs, and feel.

Usually the $300 putter was milled in the US with a higher quality of steel. It was also milled to more accurate weight. The value priced putter is usually a cast head made overseas.
