that is what 4irons off the tee are for. today on 11 I did a repeat performance of that 4 iron I hit when you and i played. smash draw past the 150 pole. had 130 in on a 416 yd par 4

#6 at La Tour is this shitty little hole they put in between a pair of ditches. Not a large landing area. Driver can get you in trouble if you're long off the tee, which of course is my nemesis.
The one time I played it smart, in other words 4 iron, 4 iron, chip and a putt, I par'd it. Everything else is boge or double.
The story of Jesus in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights and the danger he faced by fasting etc if a farce.. He wondered the desert with his golf bag and 14 clubs, looking for a tee time.
He was carrying 14 four irons. You do the math.

Nice round you had as well Ryno. I was the same way as you today. On one hand was happy I shot 81, on the other was pissed at myself for not doing better on the front 9 and shooting in the 70's.
