Is this the year Campbell finally gets a bigger job? He was a big name years ago in coaching searches then his name cooled down as ISU had a few bad seasons but after last year and if he has another big year this year he's going to be getting a lot of calls I think.

But he's been at ISU this long, maybe he just likes it there

No, it looked a lot worse than that. The QBs were missing open short throws that they had no business missing. The fumbles weren’t wet ball issues or the fricking pyro like the announcer wanted to say. There was a straight up muff (before he rolled his ankle) and then Becht launched a fast pitch into his RB’s facemask. Those were just dumb plays by 2 of the best players on the field.

But again, the 2nd half has redeemed it all. The teams have shaken off the rust and really gotten it going.

Campbell ain’t leaving iowa state. Better job than 3/4 of Big 10 / SEC.

I don’t think he wants one.

And all he has to do is look at Luke Fickell at Wisconsin to see how making that move can go. That seemed like a pretty decent fit, but if he doesn’t get it going this season, then he’s gone.

The first half was bad

The first half of the first quarter definitely was.

That’s not even remotely close to being true. But ISU has become a good program and it is a perfect fit for him. The grass isn’t always greener and credit him for understanding that.

Catch 22

He has less pressure there and can weather the down years without constant drumbeats to fire him.

Go to a bigger program and pressure ramps up. Payday is bigger but so is pressure and longevity is shorter.

Its a tradeoff and maybe he likes it there

Where was the bulk of the money on this game with the O/U? Theyre at 45, a td and xp makes it 52 - line was at 51.5 before the game and they just kneeled it out at the 1 yard line.

Why? 3/4 of the SEC or Big 10 have no chance at the playoff. Way better chance at Iowa State.

Speaking of ISU, I was hoping to catch Dan Mullen's debut at UNLV against Idaho State.

Only on Mountain West TV. WTF
