Being the best player in the regular season and then also having all time great games in the post season that lead to championships is absolutely relevant. 3 bombs and pitching 6 innings of shut out baseball striking out 10 in the division series….. followed up by 2 hr, 2 doubles, and getting on base 9 times in a World Series game are all time great games that can only be done by Ohtani. The best player in baseball.

The Angels being a horrible organization doesn’t discredit anything Ohtani has done. He’s been the best player in baseball for a number of years now and has contributed in the post season of championship seasons with some all time great games. There’s no disputing any of that.

You’re missing the point. He was the best player in baseball before he went to the Dodgers. Trying to throw in getting a couple rings on loaded rosters and using that to discredit a 2nd year player in PCA shows you’re not being reasonable with the comparison.

In not just throwing in a couple of rings. I’m throwing in individual all time great game performances that contributed to those rings. Playoff performance just further cements his status as the best player in baseball. My point is that there is no comparison between Ohtani and anyone else. No one is arguing any other current player is the greatest of all time, only Ohtani.
Ohtani getting hurt and PCA having a great second half of the season doesn’t make PCA a better player. Ohtani was a better player in the first half and was headed toward another MVP before he got hurt.

When he was still pitching this year PCA's WAR was better than Ohtani's. Folks don't realize how much value his defense in center brings.
Do I think he's the best player in baseball based off just this year? No I don't, but he's only 24 and has already shown an ability to adjust at the plate that is really impressive.
So, he's not yet but he may well be in the next few years.
