Elbowing someone in the throat is only permissable in MMA and no other sports. frick you and your "this is the playoffs" excuse. If Ron does a Kung Fu kick to Kobe's knee will you applaud his tough play in the playoffs?

Nobody is applauding Kobe's actions. Where are you getting this? I've said at least 5 times, that it was uneccessary.

The point is... these are high stakes games, that involve highly competitive people....shite will get chippy from time to time no matter who's playing who. Elbows will be thrown, dirty picks will be set, and shoving matches will ensue.

Again, because you're obviously not getting it, it's the playoffs....

Do you honestly think Kobe is the only player to have played a little chippy/dirty in the playoffs? please tell me you don't.

BALL HOGGER!!!!

mr ballhog at it again

What did you want him to do, in the 1st game none of the rest of his team was hitting shite. Somebody had to score for them to have a shot at winning.

The second game was about establishing a lead, setting the tone, proving dominance, and putting the Rockets in there place( in the minds of the Lakers)....so why wouldn't the best player on the team come out firing? And why stop if you're hitting nearly everything in the 1st?

And 3 years ago, in his so called "ballhog" days...it was him and a bunch of scrubs. Minus Kobe, they are on the same level as today's Clippers, Thunder, and Bobcats...so of course he's going to shoot 30-35 times a game. That was there only shot at winning. Where would their points come from otherwise?

Some of you use no logic and are just flaming kobe because you dislike him for whatever reason...

Oh well frick Klark now I get it. these are the playoffs? I had no idea. I forgot that basketball turns into a completely different sport in the playoffs, where elbows to the throat are the norm and are legal.

I hate how Kobe does all this bs on the court and gets away with it Then when he talks to the media after the game, he has stupid smirk on his face and trys to talk all calm and shite like he is the coolest fricking person on earth. He trys to play to the media that he is a good guy, but we see his bs he does on the court.

Not like a dick?

Be a man about it. if you wanna throw an elbow to Ron Ron's throat go for it, step up and do it in his face. Be a man and get ready for the arse whipping you receive. Don't elbow somebody under the guise of going for the ball, then back down like a pussy when the guy gets in your face. be a fricking man.

Again where the frick in any of my arguments do I say anything of the sort, "Kobe should have elbowed him / Kobe had the right to elbow him / So what Kobe elbowed him"? I haven't I've said at least 5 fricking times it was uneccessary.

Obviously you still don't get it, because you can't realize that the stakes are higher in playoff games so the intensity level will be raised. With raising the intensity levels, things get chippier and players play rougher.

What is so fricking hard to understand about that?

You act as if this is a recent development in playoff basketball....

Wait so now you count as the voice of everybody? You said NOBODY is sticking up for Kobe, you didn't say I'M not sticking up for Kobe. That's why I quoted someone who ISN'T you that was sticking up for Kobe. Try to keep up.

Yes Klark, people dive on the floor for loose balls and protect the rim from easy basket. THAT'S what higher intensity and rocugher play means. It DOESN'T mean throwing elbows into players throats because you're upset at how close a guy's been to you and frustrated your team can't pull away, and it DOESN'T mean leveling players on purpose that are coming to set a screen on you.

Why the frick is that so hard for you to comprehend Klark? Sure it's more intense, but the rules don't change.

In a way I completely agree with you in a sense.

In the streets or at a bar. Hell yeh any man would step up to the plate and start swinging if he felt offended or pissed off. But this is obviously not the time or place for him to lose his cool is it? What would happened if Kobe just went ape shite? he would be fricking sitting out the rest of the series and watching his team start what's going to be an early vacation for the Lakers.

So why not play it cool and play the rest of the series by just avoiding confrontation after what he iniated and watch the ticking time bomb Ron Artest lose it? Is it fair? No Is it right? No.

But Kobe's no fricking chump, he wants to win...that's obviously his #1 MO.

Did he avoid the fact what he did was wrong during the interview? Yes he did.

Again, He's a veteran, he's not going to stir the pot with talking shite at a press conference just to give the Rockets and Artest bulletin board material. That would be fricking stupid.

I can't speak for everyone. I apologize for trying to do so. I'm only trying to show you what Kobe's viewpoint is.

Calm down and Don't give me that bullshite. I comprehend mother fricker and am fully seeing and listening to your point of view and only trying to reason with you mine. On why Kobe is acting and doing the things he did/does. I'm not okaying it.

When did I say the rules are different? Was Fisher not ejected? Did I ever say Kobe should or shouldn't have gotten a T for it? No, I said maybe. which means I wouldn't have disagreed if he would have for his actions.

from watching artest since he was in indiana, he has always been a really aggressive defender. he'll bump you, have his hands on you, push you, etc. kobe cleared out space to get a rebound on a much more aggressive player. he should have been called for a foul, but anyone who thinks that was dirty is a pussy.

It is a perfect comparison.

You said Kobe was better because he was more skilled and lebron more athletic.

Ewing was more skilled than Shaq, that's a no brainer.

So, the comparison is very much valid.

quote:

I'm pretty sure you out on a limb on this one...people who know basketball will tell you Kobe is far more complete offensively. You're just a Kobe Hater or a Lebron Fan.

Is Lebron a better passer?

Is Lebron a more efficient scorer?

Yes, and yes, is what any sane basketball fan would say.

There's a difference between playing physical and playing rough.

Kobe has pulled more dirty antics in this series than Artest, so, yea, kobe is the pussy here.

Funny, since I've proclaimed before that Kobe will finish as a top 5, and probably top 3 GOAT.

If I was a hater, I wouldn't be saying now would I?

And your reply was just an attempt to avoid the questions. So, you can't answer if you like?

Is Kobe a better passer? Is Kobe a more efficient scorer???

No, he's not. But there is more to being a complete offensive player than those passing, efficiency, and other stats.

I dont' mean this to demean the progress Lebron has made offensively since he came into the league, but face it, Kobe has mastered the game of basketball on the offensive end. When he feels like taking over, not ron ron, not bruce bowen, or any of the wannabe Kobe stoppers can even slow him down....

Do I think Lebron is great offensive player? Hell yes, he's damn near unguardable.

But who do I want on my team in a big game, when the score is close, and we are going into the 4th?

Kobe, because I know he can absolutely put the team on his back, take over the game, will hit all the big shots in the big moments....single handedly enforce his will to win into an actual victory. And he's done it over and over for years...

Can Lebron do this? Hell yes, he's got all the potential in the world and has done it before. (@ Detroit 2 years ago....amazing).

But the fact is Kobe has to do it almost night in and night out because the rest of the Lakers, as much talent as they have, can't find it within themselves to play consistently. And all the NBA greats/experts/ and HOF's will tell you the same thing when comparing the two.
