I’m no LeBron fan but what he’s done this season at age 35 is impressive and a shame that it could go to waste. The Lakers/Clippers was going to be a heck of a series and I think the Bucks/Celtics would’ve been a great one too with the way Tatum has come on lately.

A long shot hope could be the NBA canceling the regular season and start a shorter version of the playoffs in May/June if this virus spread slows down.

Remember when the Bucks made you quit last year? Good time.

I Disagree. They have tons of time to get the playoffs in.

What a premier time to take the Atlanta Hawks CEO idea and have the NBA season be December-August in the first place. It would fit like a glove for NFL fans.

This is funny. Literally wrong about everything regarding the Lakers during the offseason to the point where you couldn't even shitpost during the season

The Olympics are scheduled for July 24-August 9 so there’s not a lot of time to push it back.

That will have absolutely no impact on whether or not the playoffs are held. Especially considering it's looking like the Olympics might get cancelled themselves

The NBA getting the playoffs in will take priority over the USA basketball. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a much watered down Team USA unless NBA only missed a month here.

If the Olympics are canceled due to ongoing containment issues it’s unlikely we’ll have an NBA playoffs. I don’t know the contractual obligations but I don’t think it would be easy to not send a team.

I dont think we see sports until the fall and by then it's too late for the NBA to resume. If someway, somehow leagues start up in June/July I think the League decides to just do the playoffs with the current standings.

Not completely. Clippers are still the better team when healthy.

This is most likely given the way the media hysteria is driving this. They will keep it up as long as possible to hurt the economy and give Biden a better chance against Trump.

Great point I heard earlier today, the Swine Flu infected millions and killed thousands in the US but none of these measures of shutting down sporting events was taken because the media portrayed the Obama administration as having it under control.

NBA playoffs > Olympics.

Plus, they can do whatever they want to get the playoffs in. They could make every series until Finals best of 5. They could make East and West start with 4 teams each instead of 8. Plenty of options. Plus, with the extended break, you won’t have to make each series drag out.
