Small sample sizes. Goldy is the better first basemen, plus Freeman should have been on the roster over Hosmer. Hosmer has always been a terrible Fielding 1B

Japan's lead off man Tetsuto Yamada is kind of a big deal in Japan. He's getting some hype as the next star to be posted for MLB. 24 years old, he's hit 29, 38 and 38 homers the last few years. He's got a really unique swing with a big leg kick.

Goldy over his career has been a better defender. He definitely has had a better bat though.
