Watching my first NBA game of the season: holy shite it’s bad

Boston, the #1 team in the east, has 15 turnovers and 30 points total with 2 minutes left in the 2nd quarter against the Sixers.
Man, just awful awful basketball. No defense, everyone just jacking up 3’s, terrible passes, walks everywhere....looks like an all star game with terrible players. Do these guys have no shame? Just lazily walking around and throwing shots up?
I don’t feel so bad about LSU now...even they play better defense and with more passion/urgency than these teams.
Definitely need to drop the NBA season down to 60 games max

NBA has been sort of Rec league for years. It's why the Warriors were able to rise to the top. They are perfect for this era of whistles and bombing away un-guarded.

Never understood the need for hot takes like this. I personally don’t like the nba,but a lot of people on here love it and it’s a very well produced product with a lot of stars for the fans to enjoy. What does a “hey I’m gonna shite on the nba because everyone deserves to hear my opinion” do for this board?

Well since the #1 team in the east is playing without their best player and starting point guard for the east all stars, it is easy to understand that they would be struggling. And the guy I’m taking about is kyrie Irving

Imagine if Kyrie became pass-first in terms of his APG averages and actually chose to play defense, he’d be the Isiah Thomas of this generation, hell he wears the same JERSEY NUMBER. 2-Guardism man.

Spoken like a person who didn't grow up watching in the 80s. Defense was a joke back then. No zone D allowed, hardly anyone could shoot 3s for shite, nearly all teams were pushing tempo, sports nutrition was in the dark ages compared to now, defenses have become far more complex, offensive spacing is light years better...
Sorry but physicality =/= tougher defense.
