Watching football is like being in an abusive relationship…

You keep thinking things will change, but they don’t. Sure, you had a couple of good nights in the sack, but for the most part, you’re hoping against hope.

I’ve spent more time this century rooting against teams (Bama, New England, KC, and not to mention SF and Philly). I’d be happy with 80% of the league winning a title, but it always ends up being someone unlikable or some dynasty that nobody wants to see.

I was thinking that tonight. When’s the last time a football game was played without this place throwing a bitchfest. NFL playoffs are bullshite, CFP is bullshite. Why do you keep watching? It’s not healthy

I had prepared myself for this because it never does change

Same. I hated the final 3 teams. I just like the bills fans I know the least. Kinda numb to the chiefs winning at this point so would rather just another year of their bullshite over the eagles or bills.

Humans need some stress in their life whether they are aware of it or not. Football is ultimately a stress that has no real effect on your life. A safe stress of sorts.

Didn’t watch either game and just spent time with my wife today. It’s refreshing to just not give a frick about the games.

I've been bitching about CFB all of 2024, tonight reminded me why I still love CFB more than the Kansas City Football League

Because I’m a battered spouse married to the sport.

Seriously, I could list 24 teams that I’m fine with winning the Super Bowl. That leaves 8 that I generally will root against. Two of those are dogshit (Pats and Giants).

I didn’t care when the Chiefs started winning. Hell, they were shafted against the Pats in the AFCCG. But the biased officiating cannot be ignored at this point.

I must admit on a personal level the teams involved in the CFB, NFL, and MLB championships has been quite a bummer

Don’t even get me started on the Astros and Dodgers.

One team was convicted and the other just unloads cash. frick the rest of the league for bowing down.

As a kid, I used to live for the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, and World Series.

I’d venture to say that the last five years of each has been as bad as it’s been in my life. The decline of the NBA is already noted. Football isn’t far behind.

The Dodgers and their unchecked spending are going to singlehandedly cause a lockout after '26 and I'm here for it.

It's time for a cleansing.

The big 3 sports all need a cleansing in one way or another.

Officiating is a major problem in sports, and technology can fix easy shite…like spotting a football.

You're not wrong, but I was referring to the competitive imbalance of baseball and even the NBA to a lesser extent. You don't have that in the NFL.

On paper, you don’t have it in the NFL. When it comes to advancing to the title, it still exists. The bracket ends up chalky.

Nothing ever changes and it’s miserable. I don’t want to see another Chiefs Super Bowl or Chiefs & Eagles. Give us something different for the love of god.

True, but football has always been more prone to having the best teams win ov r something flukey, hence why you have more dynasties.
