Was it as bad as the score said or worse?

It was a good game for 3 Quarters, Dalton wasn't THAT bad.

Then the wheels fell off in the 4th Q, with McCarthy losing his head

Reminder that McCarthy took a year off to study the game and update his schemes

Problem is he isn’t using them. The offense is Moore’s and Garrett’s from last year. They switched nothing offensively and the Defense Nolan is using is reaction and gaps and it’s not a good fit.

Either go back to the Linehan offense or install the McCarthy one but don’t leave the broken one going. Big problem is Dakota can’t run the full Linehan offense, he’s proved that year 2

After the Dallas Cowboys lost to Washington 41-16 on Thanksgiving, Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy defended the Cowboys' decision to call a fake punt from their own 24-yard line with 12:54 left to play.

"You won’t get anywhere if you’re thinking about negatives all the time," he said after the game, per Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. "Obviously, it was a solid play call. It's a good play design."

yikes

Eta: looking at the play again. The play call was actually good. But the decision for it to go for it there considering down and distance and score is still bad.
