re: Vlade Divac takes shot at Cousins as trade becomes official

boom it would appear a big factor in this deal was the owners love for Buddy Hield, so he thought this was a real coup for them. At the end of the day that is the one opinion that mattered and deal he thought he was best. I think you know damn well if they announced he was on the block they would have gotten much better offers. You're being intentionally obtuse

Everyone knew he was on the block J. It's been all over Twitter that they stopped answering a few teams calls bc their offers weren't good enough. Now you and I can both imagine what those offers were considering the deal they took no?

Enlighten us
Not to mention the absurd lack of logic in your original post anyways.

they took this deal because the owner has a weird fascination with Hield whom he believes has superstar potential...for whatever reason
So there were probably much better deals on the table that made more basketball sense but not to the one guy it mattered most to so here we are

Star power doesn't always pan out. As for the Lakers, they also had Kobe. And it's also not 2009 anymore.

They had better deals on the table.
They didn't take them because the owner is a loon.

there will be a lot of fapping on Pels Talk.
20-5 after ASG would make us one of the hottest teams in the league and a nightmare 8 seed.

Which is why this is so interesting.
1) there aren't many good big men in the league, which makes the disparity even greater.
2) Cousins and AD can both spread the floor
3) Casspi can stretch the floor too, and gives a much needed 3 point prescience.
4) AD playing the 4 defensively and having someone else who can defend down low should allow for an increase in his help defense and shot blocking potential. Not to mention the black hole at center offensively completely disappearing.
5) Jrue and Hill are very good defensive guards.
This team isn't a contender currently, but they've established the chance to become one now.

Vlade Divac
He literally said it in his press conference. I posted the video.

You think he sucks??????

The kings GM himself

No I meant if Cousins was there at the beginning of the season they would have won 43 games.
Another poster mentioned that Jrue missed significant time. You could add several more wins in that case.
Maybe 48 wins assuming good health and he didn't miss those games.

Mentioning Casspi reminiscent of the qpon guys. These two are the same caliber of player.
an average backup on a bad team is the best he's ever been. Iirc the pels traded for him a year or two ago and cut him without even giving him a roster spot.

It is interesting and I'm curious to see how it pans out. I'm personally skeptical but I'like be watching for sure.

The kings gm didn't make the decision the owner did.

I would love to have qPon on this team right now. Unfortunately, it looks like his career is over. He would have been a huge improvement
