Vikings, Chiefs, and 49ers are the only undefeated teams left in the NFL as of posting this. 49ers could lose this game to Seattle

Vikings are fools gold. Have played some of the worst teams in the league so far.

They’ve also beaten the Bears and Packers

I don’t think a close 3-game stretch vs TB, MIA, and NO is fooling anyone into thinking they’re the average 5-0 team
I figured O’Connell exhausted his fortune after the 2022 team that went 13-4 with a negative point differential but he’s got more apparently

He’s a good defensive coach but not a good HC
Hope he never lands another HC job and stays the Vikings DC

The Saints are one RB, guard, tackle, center, DL, DE, LB, and DB away from being elite buddy, ok?

The non-divisional slate of the team that just beat the shite out of the other today consists of 3 point wins against NYJ and TB, and a blowout loss to ATL. The other team’s resume is CAR (a clear aberration), NYJ and PHI
It’s not as bad as the NFC South overall but no team in the North will be squaring up with the actual contenders

The NFC North had been one of, if not the, toughest conference in the NFL the past few years
Casual fans watch teams that put up points and struggle to stop anyone and think those teams are somehow better than teams that use defense to control the game and put up enough points to get the win. Minnesota has been in control of almost every moment of all their games
I also kinda wonder how many times a 5-0 team has had to start multiple quarterbacks? And have had their best player miss time due to injury?

The Vikings ceiling is probably divisional round

10 year horizon they’re even further in last in playoff winning %, and they’re the only division without a SB appearance. The other 3 divisions have at least 2
It’s been an average at best division for quite a while. It’s arguably never been more obvious now that the Packers are average and not able to ride those bad teams to high seeds before taking early exits against actual contenders
It’s fun football to attend. Unfortunately a bit lacking on the results though
