All the other drivers passed him up without hitting him.
Why is it that Stewarts car just so happened to be the one who did?
None of the other drivers ticked their wheel towards ward either and Stewart did.

If that video is all they have...nothing.
Unless another video comes out that shows the entire incident with better angles no one will know what happened except the 2 involved.
This will likely be debated just as it is now. Some will think he was trying to scare/intimidate him and it went terribly wrong. Others will think it was all the dead guys fault. I have stated already I think both share some responsibility for this.

It's been explained at least a dozen times in this thread.

Was Ward actively trying to get at the other cars?

quote:Well, that's the car he was going for, too. Regardless of Tony's intentions, which we can't deduce from that video, we sure as hell know Kevin was heading toward a moving car. I'm not going to condemn Tony, nor will I exonerate him. The video shows us nothing of his intent or his actions prior to hitting him.

What I thought.

Confirmation bias. Classic case here.

This isn't a court of law. Our opinions are why we post.

Right, but I'm not judging intent or reading a mind, I can't do those things. I'm looking at the video and going on that alone.
Last night I heard things that made this seem like a horrible, despicable act. The video was a huge let down.

Probably mentioned by now, but watching that trajectory video, it really does look like the guy is shooting at Stewart's car. Check the guy out. Even as he's falling backwards, about to be run over, he still has his hands pointed at Stewart's windshield. If he's just pointing, who would keep pointing like that, as they are being run over?
Stewart had to do it. The guy was shooting at him.

He was going for the single tire takedown?

Are you really holding on to this notion that he didn't se him? It's not like he was directly on the 45 car's arse. You really think he didn't see a maniac running loose on the track? More than an average Joe, I'd say someone with Tony's experience has damn good vision and reaction time.

Yes.

I don't know if he saw him or not. Did the 45 see him? You can actually see his car move right as he's passing Ward. If he didn't see him till then, why would we expect Tony to be able to see him any sooner? Not to mention TS was going faster.

Oh yeah. I'm convinced now. Stewart is a super spy and this was a deadly game of espionage. Watch how the guy and the driver in the blue car team up to conceal the assassination attempt?
Shooting video
The maroon guy uses the blue car as cover, then sidesteps out from behind it as it passes and starts firing. Extreme ways in extreme days.

Stamping out ignorance is tough work...

You realize the court of law won't just use the video right? They will take interviews, ask experts, etc etc.
