I’d bet there’s 100+ ex club soccer players on that campus that could easily out drive a football or soccer ball. Most SEC teams have a club soccer team (Bama did/does), pick any one of them.
Thinking she had the strongest leg shows how stupid you truly are. The gap between women and men in soccer is staggering. The third best women’s national team got absolutely manhandled by a U-14 team in Australia.
Her little twitter video that’s supposed to show how strong her leg is shows her driving a ball around 40-45 yards. Pretty much everyone on my club team around age 15 could do that or more, and the gap got more sizeable by the time we graduated.

The best women's national team got routed 5-2 by a U15 boys team in Dallas.

Now that doesn’t excuse this fiasco at all and the punter that has a proven leg should have definitely been used but still

Kenny McIntosh has been one of the best kick returners in the conference. I'd love to see him line up at the 35 yard line, catch a kickoff on the fly, and see what happens if it looks like she might have to make a tackle.
She will never attempt a tackle. She will run off the field the moment the ball is kicked, just like she did last game.

You can get it cleared within a week
We cleared a walk on in 2 days once

They found the person on campus with the strongest leg who was willing to play and went with her. Simple as that.

honest question, cant you punt it on kickoffs?
are you actually required to use a tee or can they trot the punter out to bomb a punt with hangtime?

In the NFL, you have to do a dropkick or a placekick on kickoffs, unless the kick is following a safety. After a safety, you can punt if you choose to.

Imagine being such a big Vandy football fan that you pay for rivals.

Considering how much they’ve sucked this year, it would be quite funny for them to decide how they should approach the rest of a game over a speech.
Vandy players are going into these games with basically no shot, busting their arse and losing every week. How would you feel if one week a female kicker on your team got national publicity for a squib kick after weeks of that?

The only way I know of eligibility clearance quickly is if they’re already enrolled into the clearinghouse Otherwise it takes usually up to a month.

I coach a u12 soccer team and have at least 2 players that can kick a soccer ball 35 yards in the air.

I was hoping she would have a decent kickoff that the returner broke for a big gain and she got run the frick over so we could put this whole "women if football" bullshite to rest.

Why do we let pedos on this board

I think you may be selling your players short. I distinctly remember our sweeper on my U12 team growing up being able to kick a soccer ball over 50 yards. And we weren't anywhere near the best team in our league. Some of the kids we played would go play in Europe and whatnot during the offseason, just as a frame of reference. Basically, what Sarah Fuller posted is something the vast majority of semi-competitive boys soccer players can do by the age of 13 or 14

Sending official college transcripts doesnt take any time to review. It isnt like checking a kids high school credits to make sure they qualify, which can be cumbersome due to how many different high schools there are etc

This. Do people really think it would be difficult to get a regular student already enrolled in Vanderbilt cleared to play academically?
