SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah -- Utah Jazz executive Greg Miller says his 64-year-old mother-in-law has been stabbed to death.

Police say they have no immediate suspects in the slaying.

Detectives were collecting evidence Wednesday at the South Salt Lake book shop where Sherry Black was found stabbed to death Tuesday afternoon. Police Officer Gary Keller says Black was found by her husband at B&W Collector Books and Billiards Supply.

Keller says the husband, Earl Black, isn't a suspect. Police are asking the public for help in the case.

Miller called his mother-in-law's slaying a "senseless act of violence."

Coach Jerry Sloan says the Jazz will hold a moment of silence before Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers.
