I think Bama is screwed because you could've still used the eye test argument until Tua got hurt.

The committee wouldn't have to use that argument.

There are plenty of metrics/ratings that still have Bama as a top 4 team in the country. The are still #3 in the sagarin composite rankings. The committee can use that a crutch. It wouldn't just be "eye test."

Now, the majority of that was achieved for Bama with Tua at quarterback. How does the committee weigh that? I guess we'll see.

Don’t some computers still have bama ahead of LSU?

It will be Bama

The committee is giddy at the idea of continuing the 2011 parallels. They already had “game of the century II” ... now they can have them play again, same as ‘11. The storyline will be too enticing

In my opinion there is no chance they put OU over 1 loss Bama. They might put Utah, MAYBE. They would have put Oregon.

Sad but probably true. A one loss conf champ, be it OK, Baylor, or Utah, should jump Bama. OK might since it is a name brand, but not Baylor or Utah.

Your team has been the only exception
Most teams have to be the best of 7 because they’re the only top 4 team in their division. Your argument is absolutely retarded.

can assure you that if utah and/or the big 12 champ have less than 2 losses then bama has a 0% chance. Not sure why everyone seems to think they have some kind of magical free pass.

Bc it’s happened before and they’re still rated high enough for it to happen again

Real mature, bud.

And such a convenient way to approach the top 4 coming from the only team that consistently stumbles into this phenomena.

I’m scratching my head to think of when bama got in when they shouldn’t have. If they get in this year there would be a decent argument against it. But we have to get past the auburn game to know more.

Utah lost to USC and their best win is a 5 pt road win at 6-5 Washington. Yet why do I feel all week I will read from various pundits they are better or more deserving than Alabama?

Well it is.

And it doesn’t matter who I root for. I have enough sense to realize that 2 of the best 4 teams in the country can be in the same division.

It’s shocking that people refuse to acknowledge that.

So you also have enough sense to realize that if they’re in the same division, they’re going to play each other.

when? In what year did alabama make the playoffs, after not winning the SEC, above a P5 champion with less htan 2 losses? I'd love to hear the answer. I know you obviously aren't referring to 2017, when the big 10 and pac 12 champions both had 2 losses, so I'm guessing there must be some other year I can't place at the moment. Can you help?

what actual data and facts is your opinion based on? Because you can plainly see here: LINK exactly how the committe has chosen every year up to this point, and putting in a 1-loss OU (or utah) is exactly how they've chosen every single time.

You’re trying to have a conversation with LSU fans who can’t discuss the topic with ANYTHING resembling logic

I guarantee you that utah will be higher than bama if they win out.

Each season is different from the others and each year there are committee members swapped out. I am not sure you can go off of a handful of results.

sadly I realize that but I just can't help myself and keep making my same broken record arguments day after day anyway. Liek if people could just take a step back and LOOK AT WHAT THE COMMITTEE HAS ACTUALLY DONE every year up to this point they'd say "huh, actually bama doens't look to be in good shape", but it's much easier to play the victim card and talk about biases and conspiracies and go through their day pissed off that bama has some kidn of unwritten secret free pass.

The 2011 shite is still too fresh.

I understand what you’re saying, and I agree with you, but that bullshite will never fail to be considered when we approach these things

And I’m sure reauxl will be along shortly to call me a retard for valuing regular season victories and conference titles, and that’s fine.
