Might have been a miscommunication there.

I meant All-PAC 12 AND All-American Freshman.

Just Freshman.

No that's when he was caught. He was illegal every game he played for them, since well, he shouldn't have been playing. Nice try though.

For people that live in glass houses, SEC fans love to throw rocks.

Who care's if Reggie Bush's parents got a house from an agent. That doesn't affect his play. And according the NCAA he was not ineligible in 2003.

Now I am even more confused. You just said ALL-PAC 12 and all American freshman. I think you are drinking the kool aid, bro. There are several DTs with experience coming back this year including Taylor Hart, Will Sutton, Wade Keliikipi, Ben Gardner, Star Lotulelei.

He said just freshman accolades bison

All PAC 12 freshman team and all American freshman team.

He was a little lazy not typing it out.

Ok.

A Freshman All-PAC 12 player and a Freshman All-American.

Just Freshman accolades.

OU probably does. Beside, I got my undergrad at Bucknell...hence Bison.

I was also offered a 2/3 schollie at USC but watched a shooting at a DEL TACO and wasn't too keen on the urban campus.

ETA: also got food poisening on my visit.

I think you are a good poster, but you-- like many-- are talking out of your arse right now.

sorry that I think losing 5 of the top 8 players on your two-deep defensive line from a mediocre at best defense last season might present a problem. I can see how you might think that's an unreasonable position.

like i said, I think (hope anyway ) that that was put there more as a reminder/motivator than as celebrating an accomplishment.

Bucknell was a good fit for me. I did miss on being from a major university though.

You aren't the greatest of typist. You, of all people, shouldn't be calling UO OU.

Baloo:

I already laid this out in other posts in this thread.

I would assume you did not read everything I wrote.

It covers everything you said.

I can-- if you would like-- break it down player by player on the DL.

You played to win your conference, go to a bowl and win and if the voters put you #1 - well that was awesome

I think that really started to change with the emergence of Miami, especially in 1986 when NBC and the Fiesta Bowl ponied up to have 2 independents that were #1 and #2 play for the MNC. But before that, you are right, it was win the conference and go to the (Rose, Sugar, Orange Cotton) Bowl and maybe come out ranked #1. no trophy ceremony after the game. To me you put those titles in the media guide, not on Tshirts.

But its not just CFB, its our sports culture. All anyone cares about is winning the title. some view it as a failure not to win it all, which is assinine.

I remember when we used to feel bad for great players like Fran Tarkenton or Ernie Banks that didn't win a title. People thought it was a shame when Dr J didn't have one, now all time greats like P Manning and LeBron where called losers and incapable of winning the big one before they did. I've seen people say Dean Smith wasn't that great because he "only" won 2. The Braves are called underachievers despite making the playoffs 14 years in a row. The Bills made 4 straight SB's something no one else has done, but are regarded as losers. Its absurd and a shame.

I do think there should be 1 over all champ, but people should not view that as the end all be all.

Please do because it sounds like there have been changes. I heard Tavai got moved out wide, it looks like Williams has played his way in the mix. I am wondering what the DE rotation looks like. Haven't been bullish personally on Horton and outside of him, Uko is the only guy with real experience.

Ok...

First, this wins me mucho brownie points if I do it. You must sing my praises!!! It will take time, but I can give you a thorough, and objective, breakdown. Do you agree to this or should I say Boomer Ducks?
