OU and USC are two of the top 5 teams in the country right now, anyone who says otherwise is crazy.
Heard this about Oklahoma for an entire month before last year's finals. Offensive juggernaut that cannot be stopped...blah blah blah. I'm going to be so pissed if Clemson has to play them for a third time in a row.

In a year like this you hope the committee weighs that. And they should.

Depends on who UW loses to.

If UW loses to WSU, then I could see that. If UW loses to Colorado, then I think Colorado gets in over Oklahoma.

I just feel with all these teams 2-10 really close together and all really having an argument for being in the top 4 that SoS should matter. Kinda like college bball. It shouldn't be just how many losses you have.

Which is why the BCS at 2 was a joke... and the CFP at 4, although better, is still a joke. The further you get away from 1, the less the margin of error. College Football doesn't need a "cinderella" team like NCAA as an 8 team playoff gives legitimate conference champs and a few 'at large' teams an opportunity. Cutting it off at 2 or now at 4 is quite dumb. I guess it creates controversy and discussion all season long.... $$$$

Every year...there's like 8 teams max where the public says...yeah, I'd like to see them have a shot.

Basically, the Top 10...if you can't make it into the Top 10 - you F'd - up during the season and the season should still matter...so you're out.

But out of the Top 5...4 have 1-loss.

How do you differentiate beyond just bias and subjective assumptions? You can't. Spare SOS rankings and CPU bullshite...computers only pump out what you put in...it's still all subjective nonsense.

If we are going to stick to 4 teams...they have to win it on the field...the right to go...Conference Champs...and then make a decision on which conference will get left out.

See...that's unfair too.

More eye-test subjective ESPN ratings bullshite.

Otherwise go to 8...5 Conference champs and 3 at-large.

You get the winners of the major conferences and then you can take your ND or Bama like they would if they both had 3 losses.

I would like no more than 6 teams, top 2 get a first round bye. The importance of the regular season is still what separates CFB from other sports.

If USC didn't have 3 loses you woudl have a point.

I think they shoudl make a point if OSU beats Michigan and doesn't win the Big 10, Win your conference

OSU benefited from that in 2015 when they pumped a very good TCU out of the playoffs.

If PSU gets in the playoffs then Wash should (if they win out) Tough Titties OSU win your division

The regular season is not important. See 2011 and 1993
