Here's the US Roster for this game... all Scandinavian and MLS based.
U.S. ROSTER BY POSITION
GOALKEEPERS (2): Troy Perkins (D.C. United), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake)
DEFENDERS (5): Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Clarence Goodson (IK Start), Chad Marshall (Columbus Crew), Heath Pearce (FC Dallas), Marvell Wynne (Toronto FC)
MIDFIELDERS (9): Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Geoff Cameron (Houston Dynamo), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders), Eddie Gaven (Columbus Crew), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Dax McCarty (FC Dallas), Chris Pontius (D.C. United), Robbie Rogers (Columbus Crew)
FORWARDS (4): Conor Casey (Colorado Rapids), Brian Ching (Houston Dynamo), Jeff Cunningham (FC Dallas), Robbie Findley (Real Salt Lake)
I think the lineup will go something like this:
---------Ching-Findley---------
Davis-Beckerman-Kljestan-Rogers
Bornstein-Marshall-Goodson-Wynne
---------------Perkins----------------
I think it's very possible that Casey or Cunningham could start up top, depending on which of the big and small forwards has played better through camp.
This is Troy Perkins' last chance to claim the 3rd GK spot, but the way Hahnemann is playing, I don't see Perkins moving ahead of him, unless he stands on his head for DC United over the next few months.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Bornstein a little more at center back. I do find it strange that, in a game with 7 subs, there's only 5 defenders.
Really hoping to see how Pontius and Cameron fit in.

Of this lineup Bornstein, Marshall and Goodson look likely to make the final squad come May/June. Rogers should be in unless he has another uninspiring performance tonight. Wynne and Kljestan are on the outside looking in and so is Beckerman considering our center mid depth. Of the forwards one of Ching or Casey will make it along with either Findley or Cunningham unless Davies actually gets back on the field (miraculously likely at this point).

Either Ching or Casey will probably make it and depending the status of Davies one of Cunningham or Findley. Hell even Freddy Adu has a chance with his recent turn of form in Greece.

There is a rumor that we will be wearing the World Cup kits for the first time as well....

I disagree. I would like to see if we could get a nice looking red kit.

Going to the Bulldog to watch the USA JV tonight.
Agree about Ching or Casey going. Basically, whoever has the better start to the season. Don't know about Cunningham or Findley... If Davies isn't recovered enough to play some, it'll be ChingCasey, Altidore and Dempsey as the forwards. Holden and Beasley (yes, Beasley, if he's healthy) will play right mid.
I don't know that Marshall AND Goodson will go. Onyewu, DeMerit, Bocanegra, Spector and Bornstein have all played CB this cycle. In fact, I don't know that you don't add Pearce and Cherundolo to those 5, and call defense a done deal. Lets you bring more midfielders which is where all of our depth is anyway.

I'm disappointed that Edgar Castillo doesn't have a spot here.

that shirt looks terrible
I think that shirt is both fiyah and buttah at the same time.
But maybe that's because I'm itching for a new shirt.

Is it time to conclude that he will not be a part of the WC squad?
FWIW, again, I can't believe that we would send Casey to the World Cup. I'll believe it when I see it.

You under estimate Bradleys love for missed opportunities

Yeah, I'd say his dream is all but dead. Jermaine Jones isn't looking likely either. Sucks.
Posted on 2/24/10 at 12:47 pm to hendersonshands
I more upset about Jones. Castillo should be in the mix for the next World Cup.
That team is looking NICE already.

I imagine Casey getting a for sure lay set up for him..his friend has got her drunk, gave her a date rape drug, all he has to do is drive her home and frick her...on the way home he gets a flat, jacks up the car, and just keeps throwing the tire at the bolts instead of lining it up and putting it on easily....after he finally throws it and gets on every 1 out of 500 attempts...he expects a dynamite blow job and the girl to let him shite on her chest because he finally did something right.
