Sweden is ranked #4 or #5, was the US nemisis in the early days as the best team...already drawed the US this year.
The US isn't invincible. Germany, France, England are on their level too.

Even if they do, they'll still be ranked #1 by FIFA.
FIFA's women's rankings are retarded. They factor in every match you ever played. So Mia Hamm and Brandi Chastain still factor into the US rankings.
There's only two teams that have ever been ranked #1.
Germany and the US and that's over 30 years. Germany bombed out of the last World Cup and is still ranked #2.

It was only a matter of time before the rest of the world, especially Europe, caught up and passed the US. For 20+ years the US was the only country that put any sort of resources towards their woman's national team but that is changing, especially in Europe the last 10 years.

And Rapinoe still spearheaded a lawsuit against US Soccer for being sexist, and got ignorant sports journalists to rally behind her, despite getting exactly what she and her teammates collectively bargained for.
There are undoubtedly some proud American players on this team, but Rapinoe's continued presence is ruining the overall image for everybody. This team needs to get knocked down a few pegs during these Olympics so US Soccer can begin moving on to the next generation.

Although this years Olympics with no fans is beyond sad I was happy to hear that Matthew Rapinoe the anti american drag the flag on the ground ditch licker lost .Call me un american if you want but i hope Rapinoe goes home early.. feel bad for some of the other gals but karma is alive and well
