Chamblee just went off on the course for not planting better grass for the best to have a true putt and not a luck putt 
-less fescue because of heat and traffic will cause polana
-plant tiff whatever but plant it and allow these gentleman and the greatest players in the world to have putting surfaces that are pure

I mean, I wouldn't be happy either if I was playing in a U.S. Open and the greens didn't roll smoothly. You gotta suck it up though.

Well there's fescue grass along w the poa on the greens at Chambers, they grow at different speeds..hence the terrible putting conditions. It was originally supposed to be all fescue but poa crept into them.

I know. You said poa on a green is dumb. It's not. The greens at Chambers weren't managed properly over the last couple of years and now they are an issue to the players. They are all playing the same course though, so I have no sympathy for those that want to complain. Personally, I really like the course. I can respect the opinion of those that do not though.

Half those guys wouldn't even be getting to the green in normal us open conditions with 6 inch sticky rough and landing strip fairways...at least they can get to the green in reg here. The complainers have already beaten themselves.
