That is sad, actually....but we have all been there at one point or another I suppose.

You want to be in the SEC or Big Ten going forward… as that’s where players will want to be

Yes big time college football is condensing down into those two conferences and it makes no sense to deny that now

PSU
UCLA
Arkansas
Va Tech
Stanford
Oklahoma State
Oregon State

should probably just make him the HC then.

No, not enough experience for even a program like UCLA. He needs to learn/ master his trade as an OC and coach and if still successful he will be a hot commodity in a few years. He will crash and burn by making him a HC this young.

As a VT fan, I see the world unfortunately a little different these days...

And yes, you have to have an Ego beyond egos to be a HC in college football these days.

You have your tiers:

ND, Michigan, Ohio St, Alabama, Texas, LSU, Penn State, Oklahoma, Georgia and maybe USC, Oregon, Georgia, Tenessee, Florida, A&M

FSU, Clemson, Miami are just a notch below (and I am an ACC fan)

These are schools where you can legitimately win the NC if things are done right. That is where the best of best want to coach.

So, if you are coach and you want to coach at Texas or LSU, etc...the chances in 2025 of going from Arkansas or a Michigan St or UCLA is pretty slim. It is too tough. I mean look at what Lea has done at Vanderbilt, but you do not hear his name too much for the big jobs.

If you are a coach and you want one of those big jobs, you are better off in your next step at Ok St, Va Tech, where it is easier to win and be seen versus being on SEC network or Big 10 network each week.

Freeze gets one more year, IMO. He's been absolutely boned by the refs in 2 games that they would've won otherwise.

Norvell stays. Too much on the buyout and the FSU job isn't what it once was

Gotcha, should probably just make him the HC then. Young, can relate to the kids, has the name recognition with the job and their offense has got it together with him doing the scheme and calling plays.

He isn’t qualified, yet. The guy didn’t even know how to operate his headset 2 weeks ago when he called plays for the 1st time.

If you hate UCLA and you want them irrelevant then hire Slick Rick’s kid. If not, you hire someone else as head coach.

Dabo was the Assistant head coach. Thats a bit different than becoming the interim OC, a position he’s never done, then elevated to head coach.

UCLA will try to not step on their dick again.

With the university having to fix that $25m deficit on the academic side, there won’t be any coaching changes coming. Desormeaux’s buyout is roughly $3M, it ain’t happening.
