Update: Lutcher 45 St Michaels 7 FINAL

Game of the week in Louisiana High School football - Lutcher vs. St. Michaels. Game is at Louisiana Leadership Field in Baton Rouge Friday night.
Coach Held of St Michaels is quoted in Morning Advocate - "This may be the BIGGEST regular season game in our history. Lutcher is one of those programs everybody wants to be. They're definitely where we want to be."
St Michaels is undefeated in 4A and Lutcher has only 1 loss and that is to No. 1 ranked Dutchtown in 5A.
This should be a great game. Super atmosphere. This is what Louisiana football is all about.

SMHS is a nice story...always having lived in the shadow of Redemptorist and Catholic in this town. Good kids, great coaches, and an all around feel-good story. That having been said...

Lutcher wins easily; they have played some real good teams and only lost the game at Dutchtown. Tim Detillier is one of the best coaches in the state.

St Michael has an opportunity Friday night to make a name for themselves when they play perennial power Lutcher. Lutcher, I believe, has won 2 or 3 state championships in the past 8 years. This is going to be a good one.
