Congrats to Lutcher on a well-deserved win. Key play was when it was 9-7 right before half and St Michael missed a short field goal by inches. Then Lutcher marched down to make it 16-7 at half. And the 2nd half was all Lutcher. I think the Bulldogs are good enough to make it to the Dome this year.

Hey, I'm a St Michael fan. I just call it like I see it ... and what I saw tonight is Lutcher is very, very good.

Lutcher has a strong team - they play fast and with finesse.

But just as in the past - on a muddy field - a running team will have a field day with this team but on a fast track - Lutcher cannot be stopped.

Let's just hope for dry conditions through the playoffs, because in the DOME - there is NO chance of rain and Lutcher is 4-0 in the state championship game in the dome.

Thanks and good luck to St. Michaels on their road to the playoffs. Maybe we meet again down the road.

Nothing to laugh at, dude - SMHS is 6-1 and is off to the best start in school history. It wasn't long ago that SMHS was lucky to win a game all season. No shame in losing to Lutcher who is a powerhouse program with a great coach and has won 3 state titles in the last 10 years.

But Rex said public schools can't compete with the private ones. How is this possible?

Lutcher is ROLLING through Baton Rouge:

Lutcher 56 Tara 24
Lutcher 42 Broadmoor 14
Lutcher 56 Istrouma 6
Lutcher 45 St Michaels 7

Next up - Belaire

Maybe this is the reason that the Baton Rouge schools did not want Lutcher in their division and NOT the travel time.
