Metro has gotten tight. Isles and Pens tied in the lead, with the Caps now only 4 points behind. Then, 2 points behind the Caps are the Rags, who have an amazing 3 games in hand.
Hope your west coast swing goes like crap, y'all.

I would like to stay the hell away from playing the Blues for a while.

Olli Maatta back at practice! Might return at Montreal tomorrow night.

Wait, wait, wait. UH told me the chances of extended Bob were highly unlikely because of NHL "sources".

Great deal. Trade money for term, and the Jackets have lots of space but keep long term flexibility. Great deal.

I'm just glad he stays on a non contender. East teams should be stoked.

After this season, we stop paying 1.5 million to Mike Commodore.

You should probably edit that last word quick before getting banned, would be unfortunate with the title game so close. That homophobic slur is pretty much an instant ban, use something else but never that on here. Terrible.

I think you're the only hockey fan in this thread that would deny the projectile the Jackets are on. They will be a legitimate East contender within a year or two. For considering them a non-contender, you tend to get butthurt over them quite often.

A non playoff team that never makes big moves? Good luck with that. They are a long ways behind the top teams in the East who are far more talented and just as young.
If the Jackets were on any projectile they'd have went from first round exit to where Tampa or NYI has went, instead they won't make the playoffs.

Lol Jackets are the youngest team in the league

They've made noticeable strides practically every year under Richards. They are exactly where they were points wise at this point last season and they have had about twice the amount of injuries this year. Any team as young as the Jackets would have struggled to stay afloat with the injuries they've had this year.

Figured the injury excuse was coming.
And being at the same points last year is good how? The East is significantly stronger and deeper than last year, hell the Metro is on its own.
2.9% chance to make the playoffs, injuries are a part of the game. And even healthy if you think you'd beat the Pens or Lightning or Habs in a playoff series you're delusional.
Tampa and NYI have the same average age of 26. As if a tiny .05 makes any real difference, those teams are top 3 seeds and bring in a couple veterans like any contender in any sport anyways.

Thanks for answering your own question. Anyone that expects that young of a team to be in playoff contention so far with the amount of injuries they have had so far is delusional.
They're not a team built with absolute studs so when you are missing a collection of your veteran roster like Dubi, Horton, Wiz, Tyutin, Letestu, Bob, it's a significant blow.

Keep the faith.
I really hope Kosmo doesn't get banned days before the title game, that would be unfortunate. Even though Oregon gonna win.

Locked up Johanson, Foligno and Bob now. Awesome work by JD and Jarmo. When Horton is inevitably off the books we need to land a nice free agent and continue to foster that talent coming up.

How so? Pens in the Finals or Cards in the WS are high odds.
