Mississippi does the same thing with the home-away playoff games. They also split the state into North and South state to cut down on travel even more.

Just bc he.understands the rules doesn't mean they aren't wrong... This should be brought up until it changes. Maybe if Neville loses their road semifinal they can bring it up since they have clout

Yet north la schools seeded high can come to noka for semis and then right back for finals

You win on road you deserve a home game

Heck New Orleans schools have madevitvto finals without leaving the New Orleans / Jefferson confines

System ain't perfect but it is blindly fair

Sorry. It's stupid. "Congratulations, Acadiana. You beat Barbe. You won district. You earned the top seed. Now go beat Barbe again. ON THE ROAD."

What if two years ago in the NFL the league told the 49ers "sorry. The Giants have played two straight road games so the NFC Championship is in The Meadolands." Would that be okay?

I've followed West Monroe football well over 15 years, gradutated from there.

This years teams was, how should I put it, a little down.

Add the fact that WM lost not only their starting QB but the #2 QB was out for the game as well.

The biggest factor was one of the best coaches in high school football, Don Shows, is no longer on the sideline calling plays.

Congrats to Central, they were the better team. Good luck to them.

High school home field doesn't really matter like the pros... Not enough fans to cause noise problems.

That being said, higher seed should still host. This is 2013...

It's to help these small schools with small budgets from traveling all over the state. For example, St James traveled to Lake Arthur and won, then got Sterlington at home and won. Now they travel to Kinder. Imagine having to drive your kids from your poor school 3.5 hrs, 5 hrs, and then 3.5 hrs. shite would be expensive.

It's how it's always been and nobody should have a problem with it. Whether you play barbe on the road doesn't matter in the playoffs because luckily they won't be using Lake Charles refs. That is huge.and I agree that no team should have to travel everywhere in the playoffs. I mean they used that to PUNISH a team for Christ's sake. That's crazy.

Then maybe they should make an exception that if you win your district and/or you beat a team in the regular season, you shouldn't be forced to play a team on the road that you already beat.

You can say it's not a punishment, but consider Destrehan, for example. They will probably have to play their next 2 games on the road and they are a top 4 seed. And the only reason why is because MANDEVILLE choked. They have to travel because somebody else didn't take care of their business.

I get what you're saying. I really do.

That's where the seeding is meaningful. If both teams traveled then the higher seed hosts. In that way, it's fair. You have incentive to do as good during the year to get a good draw in the first couple of rounds and home field does come into play with the seeding if both teams either traveled or hosted. If Destrehan doesn't cheat and had to forfeit that game they may have been the 1 seed and would have been hosting the semifinals either way.
