Phone died in the 2nd quarter. Just got to the hospital. Thoughts on the game:
Central was a very disciplined team with A LOT of team speed. #2 was very fast. #16 is NOT very fast, but man that kid ran great routes. I don't think Central dropped a single ball all night. They ran a very precise offense and guys were WIDE open most of the night. If it was a dry night with no wind, I believe they put up 35-42 points rather easily. The QB kept hitting them in the chest play after play.
West Monroe couldn't get anything going at all. One huge reason for that is Central's team speed. You would see what looked like an easy 7-8 yard gain just sucked up by the LBers for 2-3 yards. Then when WM would come out and get 7-8 yards on first down, they would try and run the option and fumble the pitch. WM had to fumble 6-7 times tonight at least. All but 1 were recovered by WM, but it would put them in 3rd and 15-40...yes 3rd and 40.
Central was just flat out better in every single facet of the game. Top to bottom, they were bigger-Except for Cam-and faster. Look for them to win again next week and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they make it to the Dome. They have the team speed to play with anyone they face.
As far as being focused, you could've handed out Adderall like they were M&Ms and it would not have made a bit of difference.

I believe it's final, ZHS 27-24. Not 100% sure though. Looks like we get Parkway at home? Will attend.

quote:no, another possession earlier in the game- late 3rd quarter.
had another possession crap out after getting 1st and goal at the 6
the kneeled on 2nd down..I don't exactly call that crapping out
1st and goal at the 6, false start, delay of game, a sack or similar etc. I don't know what happened on 4th, but it had been 3rd and goal from outside the 20, and I think they lost yds again.
Which is fine, I don't care how bad WM is this year, going up and beating them there is big. Just announced the stats, WM had 5 first downs and about an even hundred total yds for the game.

I'd say 50 or more lost on those bad pitches. Still, Central's D looked like Bama on 1/9.

#20 for Central, Kevin Henry, is being recruited by LSU and Bama. He'll be at LSU tomorrow. Dude is a Junior.

What did he play? Their defense really didn't have 1 that wowed me. Mainly because all 11 wowed me.

Usually he plays SS but lately he's been like a hybrid.

This is the most complete team Central has ever had.
