Fed is going to tear Zverev's serve and volley apart.

Zverev will have to go to plan B or C to win a few games.

This is embarrassing. Such a terrible plan to try to execute against Fed. He's hitting these passing shots like the German isn't even there.

Fed always interviews so well, great words for Mischa.

Never once seen anyone prefer Raonic's game over just about anyone else's. Such a miserable style of tennis that sucks to watch.

Added to the list of things I never thought I'd read.

1. Serve.
2. Ace or lose point, generally
3. Repeat.

First set will decide the match.

In a best of three I'd probably favor Fed right now, but five will be so tough at his age.

Can't wait!

I guess Stan and Jo spent two minutes going back and forth saying "why are you staring at me." Then, Stan ended it with "it's a tennis match, calm down."

My heart wants the Feddal final, my head says Stanimal/Raonic. How predictable was the Fed rout of M. Zverev??? Tell me everyone didn't see that coming. That being said, I am a serve and volley afficianado, and love seeing it done well. I think it can be a huge equalizer in today's game, its just that so few can execute a cohesive plan playing that style.

I see the Fed/Stan match going something like this: Stan first set win, one break, 6-3 or 6-4, pretty routine. Fed comes back and cruises to win in set two, gets a good look at a break in third, doesn't convert and loses a long game, then immediately gets broken. This sets the stage for a Stan in four win. Fed has long held sway over his countryman, but Stan has exorcised those demons as of late, and it helps that he has won the whole thing here in Melbourne as well.

I have less of a crystal ball in the Raonic/Nadal quarter. I wonder how facing Milos is going to play on Nadal's trend of playing closer to the baseline this tournament? I honestly don't know how to read this one, though the way Raonic has played, I would give a slight nod in his favor. I'm discounting Goffin/Dimitrov in the other quarter, mainly because I see Goffin as a new version of David Ferrer and Dimitrov as the guy who just never seems to measure up in a big moment.

Good stuff. I'm not surprised that Roger blunted an attacking player. I'm shocked that Murray couldn't do it. I pretty much see the Stan and Roger match the same, although Stan seems to be a head case in those matches except for the one French Open run. If Milos can take down Rafa in a long match, much respect. I just don't see it. I wouldn't sleep on Grigor winning the whole thing.

I could live with that. Seems like a likable guy. Remember when he was "Baby Fed"?? Don't hear those comparisons much anymore. Dimitrov/Goffin match is actually at a reasonable time to watch live.

That was a whale of a match. That's the "out" call from the crowd on a Federer ball in the fifth set, somewhere near match point.

I feel like Stans exercised those demons in his winning a major in each of the last three years, twice in finals vs. djokovic at the height of his play. I'd tend to favor Fed just bc he is Roger Federer but I dont think he owns a mental edge over stan anymore but it's basically a toss up, my book has it as Fed -145. Raonic Nadal will be interesting, I think the winner easily advances to the final, part of me wonders if Nadal can handle all the defending that he'll be forced to do against the big hitting Roanic, if he can handle it physically I think he wins and we get Fed v. Nadal in a finals for the ninth time, and the first time since 2011.
