I would also like to thank Tyler Hansbrough for ruining JJ Redick’s senior night.
I am also still pissed at Austin Rivers’shot, but at least UNC destroyed Duke in the rematch that year.

Lawson wasn’t just fast as frick (took a full court inbound with like 2.5 seconds left and got off a gaming winning 3 right at the edge of the 3stripe) but he was a Tank. Dude almost always finished at the rim when driving.
Wayne Ellington isn’t talked about enough on that team though. Just a smooth shot from beyond the arc. Routinely made Clemson his bitch.

That Carolina team that won the natty I think set NCAA records for margin of victory in the NCAA Tournament.

The 2009 team was the last truly dominant team. They walked through the NCAA tourney with average margin of victory of like 15 points. None of the games were ever particularly close at any point.
I think UNC led for all of about 2 or 3 minutes during that entire run.

It’s been the best since coach K went to Dook. And mostly for college B-ball. Dook was a dumpster fire UNC never thought twice about. It used to be all about NCSU and UNC. UNC even had more of a rivalry with Wake way back in the day than Dook.
