I agree with this. And every expert and fighter is agreeing with this. I dont think at this weight DC can stay with him. If they both go up a class I think DC would be favored

Cain and DC should fight each other if the former beats Werdum.

I guess I am confused on his fighting strategy. Can any of you explain this performance?

Well, he certainly couldn't stand at distance and box him, because Jones had an insane reach advantage. Add to that, DC's strength is the clinch.

DC took the fight where he had the best chance to win. He tried to impose his will, which is all you can ask for. Jones is just a better fighter.

The main thing that surprised me in this fight is that Jones was able to overpower DC.

I thought Daniel missed a lot of opportunities to open up is punched coming out of the clinch.

Hopefully he can learn from this and come back better.

Why would Cain fight dc if he beats werdum? Dc needs to climb the hw ranks again

Me too initially. But the more I think about it, at 205 I think Jones holds the power advantage. If they both fought at say 215-220 i think DC would

They didn't fight at 205

Probably closer to 220

Why? He dominated Bigfoot, Barnett, Mir, and Nelson. DC only moved down because of their stupid agreement not to fight each other.

Jones has no business going to heavyweight. He would still have his reach advantage but he doesn't have the knockout power and he would have to deal with being the smaller fighter in most matchups. It would be hilarious to see Jones fight Struve though.

They fought at 205 according to the weigh in. If they fought at the next class I think DC's power would grow a ton. That weight cut kills him IMHO

I think Jones could do well at heavyweight tbh. I just don't think he could beat cain.

Jones probably fights at like 225 or so. His frame is so damn big for 205.

I agree. All I am saying is DC has no business cutting this much weight and fighting at 205 either

Like Anderson, he has the perfect frame for mma.
