Rewatched the Vitor/Sexyama fight the other day on FS1. Almost forgot how Vitor knocked him out with a punch to the back of the head.

He wasnt overrated IMO. For the most part every fight Akiyama has been in in the UFC has been super close. He could easily have a very good record in the UFC had a few things went his way.
I think he can do really well at 170 as long as he doesn't gas out. He is one of the best grapplers in the division and tough as nails.

Sexyama is totally underrated dude. He's a small 185. Hell do okay at 170. He's still pretty sexy

It's like each card is worse than the one before it. By growing the sport and adding more cards, they have gotten very watered down.

I'm wondering the same thing. It's a deadly and painful condition if left untreated.

Akiyama got triangle choked by pill-head zombie Chris Leben. That's the last triangle choke I can remember in the ufc (since everyone knows how to defend nowadays) and it happened 5 years ago! He might be decent at some of these little skills competitions, but he's just not elite at Mma.

Because it's the excuse for TRT, not the reason
ETA - I have to correct myself, it's the reason for him having TRT, but that doesn't justify allowing it in combat sports.

If I remember correctly, Akiyama gassed hard in that fight. Not making excuses for him, just stating. I think that was when Leben took a fight two weeks later after that fight.
