why not stat a new thread for this? Was reading it and was lost, Two belts on the line, etc. WTF? Why keep bringing up the same thread every time there is a new UFC event? NOthing in it is relevant anymore.

Well, we just had a badass, action-packed card last Saturday on live TV (with 7 finishes & 2 split decisions.....1 KO from multiple elbow strikes, 3 different types of submission choke finishes, and 3 TKOs).....and we had less than 1 page of responses in this thread. Kind of a waste to start a new thread for every event if there's only going to be 15 posts

To be fair, that UFN got like zero promotion from the UFC and didn't have many big names. We didn't have a lot of the trolls that usually make appearances for the big cards show up.

No. My wife and I just got back from Mexico so I'm laying low this weekend. Plus I think these Vegas cards I've been going to have spoiled me. Lmao

Yeah, if it was any other time I would have gone. We just moved to Abita from Lafayette, and still have a ton to do around the house. I hope there is a good turnout to keep the UFC coming to NOLA. I know the card downgrade won't help any. One of the local channels was still billing it as the Cormier vs Bader fight on a live broadcast yesterday.

I'll go out to the one in houston later this year. I go every time they go to Houston. The shows are usually pretty stacked. Last time it was Valasquez-Dos Santos III. The time before it was International Fight Week and Aldo-Florien and Maynard-Edgar III.

Well, this guy could talk anyone out of not going to this event:

I'm committed, about to leave for a 4 hour drive to get there!

Yeah. I went to UFC 166 and had a blast. It was my first UFC event. We are going to make a Vegas card one day. Maybe a Fan Expo weekend or major event.

This card is basically a dumpster fire with an atrocious main event. I would deem UFC Fight Night 68's middleweight feature as the year's worst thus far,

Apparently he didn't see the last New Orleans card. I went to that one. It was bad.

The one redeeming quality was Ellenberger blasting Shields in like a min.

Yeah. I was sure Koch vs. Brookins was going to be a barn burner. Court McGee vs. Yang sucked. Belcher was nice to see get a dominant win.

I won because I got to lend my phone charger to Arianny Celeste. That is true btw...

Regardless of the names on s card, often times the fights are pretty good and well matched regardless of star power

But a live show is a different animal as far as the atmosphere

It is unbelievable

I'm taking my girl, she has never been to one before

Some local shows have been some of the best fights that I have ever been to. Gil Guillory's USA MMA put on some great shows in Lafayette.
