Leon seems like a good man, but there's a reason he's been sitting on his arse for almost two years .... and it's not because of Covid restrictions like he desperately tries to sell to the public.
talk to anyone in a gym. he simply doesn't want to fight ANYONE ranked in the top 5 (or even the top 10) unless it's a title fight. he's only accepting easier fights with borderline top 15 fighters.

Facts are country travel issues and his opponents not being able to fight is why he didn’t during 2020 and the start of this year
What fight did he refuse to fight the last year?

I don't like or dislike Edwards so I don't have a dog in this fight. Just giving the whole picture. Some was bad luck some was due to his own doing

When the UK started letting dudes leave his fights got canceled over and over and it wasn’t his fault.
I’m not into him at all but saying he turned down fights is why he hasn’t fought just isn’t the truth.

countless UK fighters had absolutely zero issues getting fights ... why was Edwards not able to travel for 17 months(dating back to 2019)?

Ugh he fought twice in 2019 why do you keep ignoring that
His next fight was Woodley in London in March 2020 which was axed
By the time they were given the go ahead to fight again in summer 2020 they were trying to book him and then all his fights got axed. Other than him not fight Usman on short notice

Except the evidence strongly suggest that when he accepts a fight a few days after getting pulled from the rankings the UFC was tired of him turning down fights.

oh and let's not forget ... Leon even turned down a TITLE FIGHT with Usman on short notice back in July for the first PPV on Fight Island
it's one thing to duck top 5 contenders for a year and a half, but it's another to deny a title shot opportunity when it comes along regardless of the short notice.
even bum arse, 14-loss Masvidal took that fight on short notice and GOT PAID out the arse for it.

why would Colby fight on short notice against someone who is lower in the rankings than him and someone who has already turned down fighting him TWICE?
Leon turned down a frickin TITLE FIGHT with Usman
it's not the same. again ... Leon needs to start fighting legit contenders. not these borderline, top 15 fighters and other journeyman bums.
