By the way, 8 of the 10 fights last night went to decision with 5 of those ending in a split decision.

When I read the pbp last night before the live card started, I was like HOLY shite, 3 out 5 were SD. You might get 1 ever two PPVs, last night had 4

Damn near forgot about that fight was that in '03/'04? Machida won but not like what Silva did to Franklin in the first fight.

Same thing to me...Rich landed zero punches, and every punch he threw was returned with one right to his face. He out wrestled him, out punched him, out 'thunk' him...really as lopsided a fight as you can get. Just because Silva has a different style doesn't mean Machida didn't dominate him just as much.

For the guy who said he doesn't have a title yet..well that's because he hasn't been given a chance (match makers don't want him as champ). Had he gotten a shot he'd be a champ. His rise in Pride came as that organization was falling down, victim of style prejudice and bad timing.

Unfortunitly for Lyoto, he's gonna get screwed AGAIN.

Maybe...I'm defensive about him because I've said he's top 5 for going on 4 years now and he just never gets his due (or shot). I wouldn't write him off for being able to beat Evans. He can hang with Evans standing because they are both counter punchers, and it wouldn't be very dangerous for him..mostly a stale mate with a few exchanges.

He's such a slippery, slick fighter...he knows how to steal rounds. He is also so underrated on the ground, people just don't recognize him for many different reasons. I think Evans/Machida is a 50/50 proposition.

personally i think he can frustrate rashad to be more aggressive much like rashad did to chuck.

with that said, why was karo parisyan given the judges decision last night? i thought that was the wrong decision. i dont see how he won?

Karo's fight could have gone either way IMO. I actually probably would have gave it to the Korean, but did not have any problem with Karo winning. He clearly won the second round and the third basically seemed like no one wanted it, to me anyway.

Lyoto would beat Rashad. I am very confident in that.

I would have scored it draw to be honest. I think Cash said it best last night that neither guy deserved the victory.

Hey Smack, what do you think Arroyo has to do now to stay in the UFC's good graces?

Good question. He just got beat by someone who has never had a professional fight, and they were not to happy with him at the end of the TUF season he turned down White to take a fight.

I'm sure he has some fights left on his contract so if he gets another nobody like Cramer, he better win a dominate performance.

I hadn't seen that yet. Considering Gono lost, that's incredibly embarassing.

Well I'm glad you two are confident about him losing. I've been confident that Rashad would have lost his past 5 fights and that worked out pretty well. Until he loses, I'm betting on Rashad and I can't stand him.

Yeah, but Machida is the same way. Rashad isn't some "uber" talented cat crushing everyone. IMO Chuck was beating him until he got caught. That is the main reason I think Machida will beat him.

I tell you what, I didn't see that happening Sat night though. He whipped his arse, and he shut me up and changed my mind about Machida. I was critical of him.

Sooner or later though, someone is going to stop chasing him.

That gameplan for Sivla was horrible!!! Not good at all.

BTW, not sure if this has been mentioned yet.

But this really gives new appreciation for Jon Fitch taking a five round war to decision against GSP.
