why do guys care what their nipples look like when they're fighting?
Strange considering they don't care if they walk around with chicken nugget ears.
Speaking of... Rich Franklin come on!!! What does he do, have one of the guys in his camp punch him in the eye 5 days before each fight?

He wasn't fighting scared at all. He had a beautiful game plan. He wanted to take Chuck out of his comfort zone(which is countering) and make Liddell pursue him. He stuck to his game plan and got the knock out because Chuck is very sloppy(and slow, now). It's one thing to keep your hands down when you're countering, but you can't stalk in on your opponent with your left hand at your waist, leading with an uppercut(
) and get away with it if your fighting someone in the UFC.
On a side note, I was really impressed with the amount of strategy in last nights fights(mainly Dan, Rich, and Rashad). They all knew what they were going to do when they entered the ring and stuck with their gameplans and viola! Wins for all three of them.

I agree with everything you are saying about Chuck, but I feel Rashad was fighting scared. Chuck was winning when he got dropped, I doubt seriously Rashad was fine with losing on the points and going for the KO as a game plan.

Chuck won the first round, but Rashad was winning the 2nd before he dropped Chuck...

yeah and chuck won the first by default
rashad is generally the most boring fighter in the UFC, so i don't think he cares if he went to a decision getting hit like 3-4 times (none of which being real clean shots). that's just how he do

Chuck needs to remember he is always introduced as a KICKboxer. Did he throw one leg kick. I know he threw a near miss head kick. He stood there and boxed a guy who is introduced as a boxer
Rashad is a boxer?

Meh, I don't know about that. It was pretty even in the 2nd IMO and Rashad was backing up the entire time. Usually they give those kind of rounds to the Aggressor. Doesn't matter I guess.

BTW, anyone know what was on the t-shirt Rashad was wearing?

Hey El Tigre,
per yahoo,
He said on Ultimate Iceman that he would not do this again, and he did the exact same thing and paid even worse for it this time.
per yahoo,
quote:
Analysis: Liddell made the same mistake he made when he lost his light heavyweight belt last year to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. He went to throw an uppercut and Evans caught him with a booming overhand right.

rashad had more clean hits
and if you're saying that the guy playing counter punch should not win points then lidell should have never won a round pre-jackson

I'm not saying that. I'm saying if the stand up is even, then the guy backing up will probably lose if it has to be judged.

I've never seen that guy without a black eye.

That is how he was introduced last night.??
Remember the "mixed" in MMA and don't box a boxer. This is something Chuck has always been guilty of. He can throw kicks but rarely does like with Babaloo. But he usually stands their like Philo Bedo circling around waiting for someone to f&*k up. If Rashad truly was trained as a boxer that is a poor gameplan, and it now caught up with him.

I always thought of Rashad as a wrestler

He might fancy himself as a boxer but his background is wrestling.
ETA: Nevermind. Just watched it. They introduced him as a "wrestler and a boxer".

Just watching some replays online.
Franklin looked sharp. Hammill needs to work on his stand up so he can close the distance and get the takedown. He started changing levels from a distance and almost ate a few head kicks for th effort.

Just notcied Evans' corner after the 1st round said "Keep moving and making him miss. It's starting to piss him off."
Seems like they were trying to get Chuck frustrated and out of control.

Bill Gates mug shot when he was a teenager. Funny as hell to wear that, I thought.

- The Matt Brown-Long Duck Dong fight sucked.
- Michael Patt looks like 205 lbs of chewed bubble gum.
- Marquardt looked good. I wouldn't mind seeing a Franklin-Marquardt-Handerson round robin at 185.
- MacDonald finished the RNC with one arm. Nice.
- Pellegrino-Tavares fight of the night free on UFC.com. So glad Tavares lost. For some reason I can't that cocky SOB. Maybe just me though.

He should quite down then because he has now lost 3 out of his last 4 fights.
