Dude was beating the frick out of Mir with his forearm. I said in my other post the only knock, IMO, on Lesnar is that his defense sucks. once he learns that.....

BJJ defense mainly.

Correct. Wrestling has no part in MMA whatsoever.

Understood. Barring that "lucky punch," the guy is going to be dominant.

You do realize most of the american guys you see in MMA came from a wrestling background? I just don't see what Herring has that is going to be able to get him a win against Brock.

No, you come off as a whiner because you come off as you're looking for something to complain about just because you "never really liked the guy for some reason"

you think i'm the only person who feels this way? go to MMAWeekly message boards. i guess they're a lot of "whiners" out there too.

As I said, if you watch the 2 of them......How is Herring going to "walk over" Brock? I don't mind someone picking him to win, of coarse that can happen. To pick him in a romp, after seeing the 2 of them fight.....I don't get at all. My prediction is Herring gets planted on his back within 15 seconds and the ref is pulling Brock off of him within 2 minutes. He won't be able to fend off that monster and he doesn't have the BJJ to sub him. If the fight makes it to the second round......Herring I guess could have a shot then. The only way I see him winning is if Brock ends up completely gassing after the first round.

Brock's been training MMA for what? Like a year and a half now? WHat do you really want a national champion caliber wrestler to do? Turn down big fights? If he wins big against Heath, will you have much more respect for him?

I want him to pay his dues. There are tons of all-american wrestlers in the ufc like you mentioned. and all paid their dues. if he keep taking these fights when his not ready and loses, he'll be out of the UFC. if he beats heath, i will offically acknowlege his comeupance.

who do you want brock to fight?

tank abbot
james thompson
some fat guy at a bar

look lesnar is in a position with his athleticism and his skills as a folkstyle wrestler is that you can put him in amateur fights starting off against other heavyweights. or bring him to the other organizations heavyweights it would just be unfair.

but on the same note you cant just put him in with the champions right away such as nog or fedor.

Brock would still have a shot at winning those fights. OBVIOUSLY, I wouldn't pick him there though.

dude

there are just not enough studs in the heavyweight division period.

you would have to combine them all from the ufc, affliction, dream, ifl etc in order to have legit competition.

it isnt like the other division such as the 170 and 185 in the ufc where there are studs all across the board
