He didn’t really dominate any round. 3-1 close rounds doesn’t mean dominating
it does in UFC scoring if it goes to a decision. It's the reason Pereira's corner told him he had to knock him out.

Nah. He dominated one round which happens to be the round they wrestled. Outside of the final two seconds of round 1 when Pereira got hurt (arguably by a punch after the bell), Pereira held his own on the feet. Adesanya was no doubt winning the fight, but he didn't dominate shite.

Pereira did real well walking Adesanya down and cutting off the ring - that's the reason why Adesanya's back was against the cage for a lot of the fight. It kept Adesanya stationary for large portions of the fight and eventually he got caught when his back was against the fence when he couldn't be as mobile as we usually see him.

I don't know how many more times Pereira can make that 185 weight cut at 35+ years old. Seems like his title reign may be a bit short considering his age.

I also don't know if Izzy can best him. Amazingly, a guy like Whittaker or Vettori would probably dominate Periera if they could ever get him to the ground, which is bizarre.

Wut lol

It still doesn’t signify a dominating win. 5-0 rounds with some 10-8 in there is dominating.

Just because he was losing on the cards doesn’t mean he was getting dominated.

The fighters who have the best shot at beating Adesyana are the ones that are the same size as him, or bigger(ie Jan Blachowicz). A fighter that can use his size and reach to walk him down.

Also, if Adesyana is 6'4", then Pereira is 6'6".

Dude is already a legend. 2 weight class kickboxing champion and ufc middle weight champion. How many people on this planet can say that? Anything else for Pereira beyond this point is gravy.

Their commentary was so biased towards Izzy. "Izzy has no weaknesses" despite his shite wresting. Rogan claimed that Izzy obstruck Jan which is false.

he was winning 3-1 at worst, probably 4-0 on at least 1 card. That's dominating as far as UFC scoring goes.

dominating is BS...before the TKO, they had the strikes display:

Izzy
Head 62
body 16
leg 32

Pereira
head 39
body 48
leg 45

Izzy was wobbly and facing down. Impossible to see the punches coming. Three more seconds and his face get planted in the mat. And if that happened, no way Izzy could recover from that psychologically.

Yeah I saw that too. I wonder what was the cause. I remember rooting for him so bad against DC.

Izzy said that the leg kicks from pereira hurt him. Alex landed 40+ legs kicks and not once it was mentioned from Rogan or DC. But when Carlos Ulberg landed his first leg kick against his opponent, Rogan said “it was a game changer”. I also hear DC uttered “he’s tired” 24 times during round 4.
