Jones looking pretty big. My question is how well he can carry that weight. Jones is way skilled compared to Ngannou and won't make mistakes like Stipe.

Just the typical they'll have to wait and see what Stipe wants to do

Bruh stipe got sent straight to hell. He ain't fighting anytime soon. Beind a stipe fan I felt he should have retired after DC 3. Dude looked slow even then and was taking a ton of shots. The minute he got stuffed on the takedown I knew he was in trouble. Everything was off in this fight for him

Dana was taunting Bones the whole time. Saying he doesn't think he really wants the fight

Jones wasn’t very impressive vs Santos or Reyes. Idk if Bones wants to fight Jan much less Ngannou.

Yep, he basically told Jon to stop talking shite or actually call UFC and get the fight going with Ngannou.

Feels like he really wants to make the fight with Lewis if Jon keeps up his little games.

Also said he wants Francis to fight in Vegas, NYC or Fight Island to a full house.

Hahahahabababbababahahahhaha...

What the fuk world does he think he's in. Those lefty states won't allow sold out arenas for another 2-3 yrs.

Uncle Chael bringing up Cruz vs O’Malley. That would be a fun fight.

I love Cruz but don’t think that is a great matchup for him.

I think I like the garbrandt O’Malley angle

I’d take either of those fights. It’s time for O’Malley to step up in competition.

Stipe should retire, he's got nothing else to prove. You've got a nice crop of heavyweights to carry the division for a while

Ngannou
Lewis
Jones

O'Malley is the poster boy of the UFC hype machine right now.

he's almost 6ft tall and cutting almost double the average amount of weight that fighters cut so that he can fight 135lb, tiny fighters.

he should be fighting at welterweight (170) or lightweight (155), but chooses to cut 40+lbs all the way down to the little guys at 135.

Didn't Khabib basically do this his entire career. I guarantee you that he walks around naturally around 200 lbs and cuts to 155, while most of the rest of the division probably walking around about 175-180.

Hell, Conor at 170 looked "heavy," while Khabib was stripping down literally to nothing his last fight against Gaethje to make weight.

It's a decided advantage if you want to or can put your body through that kind of cut, but it can't be healthy long term.

I wish UFC would stop weight cutting and go by hydration % and you basically have to fight at your natural weight. Everyone would probably go up ateast 1 division, and some of the lighter weights could go up 2.

agreed.

there are fighters (like O'Malley and Khabib) who are tremendously overrated because they choose to cut an absolutely absurd amount of weight.

Khabib walks around 40-50lbs heavier than his fighting weight ... why is that shite glorified? only pussies cut that ridiculous amount of weight.

Khabib isn’t that heavy when cutting to 155

Want to know how I know that, because he fought Gleison Tibau who actually cuts from 190-200 and Tibau dwarfed him

Damn near every fighter cuts 20-25 pounds so you don’t have a point

He fought a guy who hasn’t won in 5 years losing 5 of his last 6, has a significant height and reach disadvantage, somehow is Brazilian and looked like he had no clue how to pass a guard when he dropped O’Malley, was a terrible stylistic matchup with O’Malley, and fought his first 16 fights in scrub promotions.

It’s annoying as frick how bad Dana White wants that clown to happen and how much DC and Joe Rogan are forced to blow him from the second he steps on the mat. There’s no reason this guy should be even close to headlining a card at this stage of his career, especially when he’s coming off a loss fighting someone who’s going to be cut from the UFC next week, but I guess Dana needs his new golden child
