In retrospect it was a nightmare match up for Connor

Nate was bigger, has Great boxing, solid chin, stamina, and sick ground game

And Nate's been in there at 170 before against Rory.

Its really that simple. Conor has slick hands but Nate was just too big. Most of his first round shots and kicks hit air because Nate was out of range. When they got against the fence, you could tell who was the bigger stronger guy and it wasn't Conor.

His only chance was to connect with a solid punch like with Aldo but Nate's chin shook them off.

In the end, I'm glad this blew up in UFCs face.. They love to force fights when ppv is on the live and it but them in the arse tonight. They should've pushed him back to another event.. Conor shouldnt be fighting at that weight and it cost him against a veteran who doesn't easily quit..

Did you even watch the fight dumbass? Conor couldn't hold his hands up and Nate was teeing off on him from up top. Conor just decided to roll over and hand deliver his neck. He wasn't lasting much longer

You can't think you can drop your hands at that level and get away with it.

Diaz is not stronger. The length didn't seem to be that big of a deal. He's just a good boxer and was able to handle the exchanges without getting clocked.

If they fight ten more times, Nate wins 9. They have weight classes for a reason.

Yep. One thing no one can say is that McGregor wasn't up for a challenge and would in no way disappoint the fans.

I fricking hate Werdum now. Lost a ton of respect for Edgar, Aldo's only been a bitch.

McGregor was thought to have a hole on the ground, Diaz was the first in the UFC to capture the opportunity to show it on the big stage.

Not wanting to cut weight took away his best advantage.

You should not analyze fights. Diaz showed he could take Conors best due to a solid chin. The guy outclassed is the one who couldnt fight through the adversity nor take Nate's best.

LoL

He only last as long as his speed let him. Once Diaz found his range it was over. So basically Conor out classed him for 5 minutes of a 25 minute fight but got rocked and choked the frick out

Dude the fight was over before it hit the ground. Conor couldn't keep his hands up. Nate was teeing off

Conor deserved to lose. If he takes Nate seriously and keeps his hands up, Nate probably loses. You have to have so much respect for Nate, though. The guy is an absolute warrior. He'll get rocked and just shrug it off. Only been TKOed or KOed once in his career, I'm pretty sure. His ground game is phenomenal. Heart of a lion.

I don't think this delegitimizes Conor at all. I think it should make him stay away from 170. However, he'll continue to be a force at 145 and probably 155 for a long time. I think this will be a good wake up call for him and force him to take every fight seriously now.

lol, it was a 25 minute fight and McGregor was completely gassed after about 6 and a half minutes. How is that outclassing anyone? Diaz handed him his arse in the second, and basically had his choice of doing it by strikes or by submission. McGregor couldn't have done shite about either one.

It's classic Diaz bros. You throw all you got, they eat it, pepper you with shots, then put you away

Lol at all of you who think mcgregor outclassed Diaz. Diaz stated he didn't want to burn himself out too soon bc he didn't have any sparring the past 11 days. CM hit him with some shots in the first but Diaz has an unbelievable chin. CM took some shots on the chin and was gassed from throwing too many left hands in the 1st looking for a knockout. Diaz's length, boxing and bjj was just too much for CM. he can't just overpower and outreach his opponents in this weight range.
