I missed the fights. I had to go to a stupid arse wedding. I was very dissappointed that Wanderlei lost. At least he didnt get KOd. Can anyone give me a quick run down of the fight. Also, how did Russow-Werdum play out ?

Wandi's strategy was run in and get punched. He landed a few and even hurt Franklin but otherwise was completely outclassed. Sometimes I feel like the Pride Wandi was a figment of my imagination.

Wand rocked Ace in the last minute of the 2nd, and may have finished him if not for the bell. Otherwise, total domination by RF, controlling all facets of the fight, takedowns edge, held center ring, had reach, stiff rights and jabs when Wand left openings down the center, took the starch out of him, always circling away from any chance of Wand's big right hand.

Played out any way, when, where, and why that Werdum would want. The Possum was roadkill from jumpstreet. Totally outclassed. Skillset needs major work, and his Roy Nelson body needs cardio and transformation. Despite Russow's W-L mark, the physiques and the action were the exact same..an All-Pro vs All-Joe.

Thanks

Pride Wanderlei also had the advantage of using stomps and soccer kicks. Think about it. Had this been in Pride he probably would've stomped a hole in Ace once he fell.

Wandys speed, reflexes, and chin no longer support his fighting style. He was never very technical, but his aggression and recovery time were out of this world. He needs to do one of two things...
1. Find another way to fight
2. Retire

Pride Wand also had the advantage of no drug testing. Just saying.

By your logic, everyone in Pride was on roids so the playing field should've still been level.
