If Brock had done MMA seven years ago instead of WWE, would have an amazing record and career I believe.

Those flight instincts when people start punching him would've still been there in 2004.

Personally, I like Lesnar. This fight was an easy one to call though. He does not have the skill set or experience to beat a guy like Reem (or JDS or Cain). He was able to beat guys that he could intimidate and overwhelm like Mir or guys he had a massive size advantage over, like Randy.

I think his condition has hurt him tremendously as well. He has not gotten better in the past few years. Like people have said, I think he could have been a dominant fighter if he had gotten into MMA 6-7 years ago, progressed, and not gotten sick. He had as great a natural set of physical abilities as maybe any heavyweight.

He didn't look like he should have come near the octagon yet.

Strong body shots but he crumpled as soon as he got hit in the stomach

Why
Overeem got outstruck by werdum. He pretty much throws haymakers and knees, he isn't very technical. Dos Santos is faster and more polished on the feet.

ETA not saying he isn't a dangerous striker, but Dos Santos is better IMO.

Anyone who thinks there's a better striker in the heavyweight division than reem is crazy. The guy won the K1 grand prix against the best kickboxers in the world. JDS is going to need to mix up strikes and make reem fear going to the ground he can not beat reem by just standing with him. This to me is JDS hardest matchup in the division.

JDS will knock Reem out, last night did nothing to change my mind on the matter.

eta: And Nate looks like a phenom right now, very impressive win.

I completely disagree with you. JDS will be moving backwards the whole fight and reem will be able to bully him and reem with little concern about takedowns and with the freedom to fully kickbox is very very lethal. Reem will have atleast 20 pounds on JDS when they fight. JDS is a great fighter but I see this as his nightmare matchup.

I have not read the thread, but between the retarded game plan(or total lack of one) and looking like he didn't want to be there any one think Les at was just looking for one last quick payday before hanging it up?

Right, I think the first time we see him taste HW power, the old Reem returns with a quickness. JDS has ridiculous power in his hands, Reem will crumble.

For those interested. DREAMs 9hr card was pretty good. Bibiano Fernandes won the FW GP,
Mach Sakurai beat Ryo Chonnan via dec.
Nagashima got tkod in the MMA round of his mixed fight (best fight of the night),
Aoki used superior grappling to win UD over Kitaoka (Aokis long time teammate),
Barnett, Sylvia, Aerts, JLB all had boring arse pro wrestling matches.
Fedor beat Ishii via 1st Rd KO by throwing straights instead of his usual haymakers

fedor has looked very patient his last couple of fights although one was against a past prime anarchist and against a judoka who hasnt fought legitimate competition really.

yuki nakai must be proud of both aoki and kitaoka

I'm sry he's felt plenty heavyweight power. Dude fought the best kickboxers in the world. You don't seem to grasp that he has fought some of the best pure strikers in the world. Guys who only train striking 24/7. Can JDS knock Reem out sure but Reem has the advantage on the feet especially with the extra weight he will have against JDS. Did you see after reem got cut he didn't even flinch he is beyond comfortable on his feet

Fedor looked patient but it's just sad knowing he will be fighting cans the rest of his career. He might fight josh Barnett but other than that I see him just pleasing the japanese with easy fights. Fedor was my favorite fighter just the way he has been managed is depressing.

K1 is not MMA for obvious reasons. JDS might have the most dangerous hands in the history of MMA(note that I said might). Lesnar was landing on Overeem and had no other game plan as Cash pointed out. JDS will knock him out... Then again, I could be completely wrong , wouldn't be the first time.
