and this is hard to post (I'm a big Machida fan).....but here goes:

right on.

Silva is instinctual and his reflexes/timing and accuracy are the best in the sport. He doesn't have traditional power, but is so fluid, he's able to get his entire body into a jab.

Imagine a whip. nothing special when still, but don't get at the wrong end of it when in motion.

I was at the dome last night, so I didnt get to watch it, but here's what I can gather........

Mir, Jones, and The Koreon Zombie are bad asses

Tito still sucks

actually that's not entirely true...mobility/laxity of your joints actually has A TON more to do with flexibility than does muscle "stretching"

I'm referring to the injury, not his performance. He's actually looked pretty damn good in his last two fights. I'm just assuming that as bad as that injury looked, that he'll be out for an extremely long time. Frank Mir is a dick.

Didn't really look dirty but there also wasn't much of an opportunity to tap.

What happened was, Mir was on top working for a Kimura. So Nog was on his back and his arm was kind of stuck on the mat and it was hard for Mir to get his arm twisted right since the ground was in the way.

So he was pulling, and eventually he got the arm free from the ground, and because he was pulling hard to get it free, once it finally did slip free it torqued quick and snapped.

Imagine you are playing tug-of-war with somebody and they let the rope go. You are going to be struggling with them and then all of a sudden when they let it go you are clearly still pulling with way too much force and you will fall down backwards.

It was a similar situation. The arm was trapped while Mir was pulling, so when his arm finally became un-stuck, it was quickly torqued all the way.
