so is he top 3 (behind gsp and brock)?

cause if Anderson isn't a big draw/can't sell ppvs.....I don't see anybody currently in tUFC selling ppvs (other than the two previously mentioned). what were the numbers with AS and Vitor?

Are you trolling? Shogun got completely destroyed by Jones 2 fights ago. Henderson is washed up and has no chance whatsoever against Jones, or any of the top 5 UFC LHWs.

yeah I just saw that. That's ridiculous that guys like Forrest would outsell AS. When did those numbers come out? Two of those guys have been retired, so AS automatically moves up two spots on that list

Yeah but if he keeps winning you can't deny him another shot.

He has won 6 of his last 7. Not saying he would win but if he beats Shogun why not give him a shot against JJ? He actually might get another shot at Silva again at MW before anything.

I'm surprised GSP is that high on the list. His fights are garbage to watch.

Dana needs to find another white trash hero to fill Chuck's spot.

He has an entire country's MMA fans behind him and has fought some pretty big names and big prospects

But Penn is the only PPV seller out of all the guys he's fought recently. Your Canada argument may have some validity.

The the last few UFC PPV I've missed were GSP Main Events. I have no desire to see him fight.

If he keeps winning... sure. But he's only beat a no-show Forrest Griffin. That is even less impressive than beating Randy Couture. Given the completeness of his domination by Jones, he's got a lot more winning to do to sell that fight again.

Only 3 of those were at LHW. And none of the LHW opponents are even close to title contention. The Fedor win is the only victory worth mentioning, and it is not nearly as meaningful as would have been 2 years ago.

Jon Jones-Lyoto Machida confirmed by Dana White for UFC 140 in December. Very loaded card.

Oh my god, if Sonnen beats Stann, he's going to cut the greatest promo ever on Silva, can't wait.

Tom,

I'm not saying these guys deserve a shot today. All I was saying was that the Machida pick wasn't exactly a no-brainer when it comes to who is next in line. He hasn't exactly done a whole lot lately and really the best thing going for him was that he didn't already have a fight scheduled. This is why the Rashad fight was the best for this PPV in order for things to hopefully work out behind him as to who would be next.

Wow Machida slips into a title fight against JJ...thats crap. I know Shogun is fighting Hendo, but he deserves it over Machida.

I'm probably not the majority, but I'm still intrigued abut a possible Bones/Shogun rematch. I really believe that flying knee in the first few seconds knock Shogun out and the fight was over right then and there. The fact that he survived to the 3rd is amazing.

I don't think Jones has much power at all, and I think a conscious Shogun is actually a good matchup.

I do believe, however, that Jones can beat anyone in the LHW division and they are all about on the same level of competition when it comes to facing him.

That's an incredible 5 PPV fight lineup.

Also I would def recommend watching Beltran-Stipe on facebook.

shaping up to be a great card....hopefully people don't drop like flies due to injury leading up to some of these cards.

the second half of this year is just stacked with great events. It sucks it's going on during football season, but I'm not complaining.

We're at the end of a 4 week stretch with 4 events in a row every weekend (rarely happens), then starting later this month we get another month long stretch with 4 consecutive cards (including the GSP/Condit card, a weaker UK card, the first Fox card between Cain and JDS, then finishing with the Shogun/Hendo ME). There's TUF Finale after that, then we get to see Jon Jones defend his belt once again this year, and Brock/Overeem wrap up this 2011 year with a bang. Definitely a great time to be a fight fan and a fan of the UFC.

I think Guillard get murdered in a title bout against most of the contenders.

most of the LW contenders don't murder anyone, thats why everything goes to a decision. his biggest threat to be finished is probably a Bendo guillotine.

eta: lauzon is a much bigger threat to finish him than the main title contenders imo

yeah, I think Bendo would probably be Guillard's biggest challenge. I like his chances against Edgar, Guida, Maynard, etc. Pettis and Melendez are wildcards imo
