Gotta give props to Bonner tonight..........every fight is exciting with him in the ring..........He really fights like Rocky...........

also, i liked Leben's suggestion of him vs Wanderlei as TUF coaches. Neither of them matter really and it would be entertaining as hell most likely.

great fights...great card. i was blown away wih lesnar subbing carwin and leben subbing sexy and lytle subbing brown. no way i saw that coming

Pretty amazing night of fights. My thoughts on the main event:
1. The ref could have stopped it in the first round. I was shocked he did not. Brock was turtled up towards the end and not fighting back at all. He had both hands covering his face, was offering zero offense, and was not trying to gain position. All he was doing was covering his face. If Carwin had been a bit more active at that point, it WOULD have been stopped.
2. Thank god the ref did not stop it in the first. We would have been robbed of one of the most unlikely HW comebacks in recent memory.
3. Lesnar is a tough SOB. No one has taken that type of punishment from Carwin. I really think Lesnar was on the verge of thinking and knowing it was over when he turtled up.
4. Carwin's gas tank is not what I thought at all. As an elite level wrestler, no way he should cramp and gas after 1 round.
5. Brock will rule the UFC for a while
Also, I now think Fedor would beat Brock if they fought in the next 6 months. I did not think this before the fight. Fedor's stand up is MUCH better than Brock's and with his sambo background, he would defend the takedown fine. I really feel relatively certain Fedor would beat Brock now. Brock tried to stand with Carwin. Fedor's stand up is on par with Carwin. He does not hit as hard (no one does), but he puts together combos, would not gas, and does have KO power. In a year or two with at least 3 more fights, Brock may very well be the most dominant HW EVER. But he has a ways to go. Carwin's total lack of a gas tank saved Brock tonight, though we all now know Brock is one TOUGH SOB that can take a punch from a monster and gut it out.

FYI, this is totally wrong. Brock scored the takedown because Carwin was GASSED. Brock not having an extra 20 lbs probably won the fight. Make no mistake, Brock won this fight for one reason - supperior conditioning. Brock's standup is not good at all when the guy he is facing is not 70lbs lighter (Coutre) or scared (Mir). It will get better though and fast. Brock is a freak and I fully expect he will put his focus on standup from now till Cain and be vastly improved. He will mash Cain because they have the same strengths and Brock is much bigger and stronger. Style wise, Dos Santos is a tougher challenge, but I see Brock beating both.

Just noticed this. **Edit**
1. I predicted Brock would win. Go back and find it in this thread. In fact, I have never picked against him in his short career.
2. I have never bet against Brock in any fight. I bet on him against Randy (big as a dog) and against Mir in the second fight. Brock has won me over $1k.
3. See my last post where I predicted Brock would beat Dos Santos since I believe he will improve his stand up with more experience.
