If they build on their own land, very little Audubon Blvd. residents can do about it. Besides, it's not going to be some monstrous stadium like Tiger Stadium. It will not look entirely out of place or overwhelming.
I'm not an architect but the USM stadium next to Tulanes baseball stadium will be extremely noticeable. It's shadow will change the lanscape of about ten houses. I don't see it's logistics.

How does a 30k seat stadium attract the Big XII?
The current smallest stadium is Baylor's 50k seat stadium and TCU's is 44k.

I'd imagine they will be cognizant of the neighbors and not want to infringe upon them too much, but, at the same time, if Tulane is building on its own land, very little neighbors can do, especially considering it will be their backyards most affected.
From what I've heard, Tulane would have a bowl-type structure with major upper-decks or anything. Won't be as overwhelming a structure as USM. USM also has an open endzone that could hold a large capacity if it were closed. Presumably, by having a bowl, Tulane would be spreading the capacity out enough not to have too large a structure.

Big 12 wants into SEC territory after losing A&M
Tulane and a 30,000 seat stadium will not fill seats unless some games are moved to Superdome.
I could see the Big East happening but I can't see Tulane to the Big 12

Sorry man, you left that out there as bait and you had to know it was gonna get ya. Could not fight back the urge. At least I just pointed it out with the beers rather than making it worse.
Word is Tulane worked with just about one of the leading stadium design companies in the country if not world so I suspect this thing will be nice. Small, good size for them but nice. They dont need to worry about more than 25-35K until at least another decade if they actually win ball games.

There is absolutely, positively no freaking way Tulane will be accepted by the Big 12. They'd be lucky to be considered for the Big East.

Don't tell that to a Tulane fan
They all swear it's gonna happen just like they all swore Rich Rod and Leach to Tulane

When a new head coach makes statements about the state of Louisiana being Tulane's it makes you wonder about the Big 12 sending a subtle message, which they are.
Stadium announcement for sure tomorrow, the other may happen down the road

LOL, the same thing will happen to tulane that happened to them in the SEC, they just will not be able to compete with the big boys, week in, week out.

But they will be able to compete with the Baylors, Iowa States, TCUs, and Kansases.
