Big surprise here. I've never seen a player so hyped up before and performed so poorly in the big moment. Outplayed and outpitched by Kavan 2 years in a row. What has she actually done to warrant the hype & entitlement?

She's a softball player, for which there is very little professional market. She's trying to leverage the last big of notoriety she has a college player to squeeze out the biggest contract she can get because....

quote:

Per that same source, an average AUSL salary ranges from $40,000 to $45,000, but bonuses can bring that total up to $75,000.

The (alleged) $1M paydays are over now that she is out of college. Whatever next contract she signs after the first one won't be anything big because, by that time, the name recognition will have worn off and the market still won't give a damn about professional softball.

I hope every TTU athlete demands more money and if they don't get it I guess they'll have to bet money on their own games since that institution allows it.

A lot of college athletes will soon realize their days of maximum leverage are over. Unless we start having players with unlimited eligibility playing as 18th year players as 36 year olds

She wouldn't have gotten to at least the national semi-finals all 4 years of her career if that was true.

They didn’t throw to the same batters, did they? How can two players who don’t play against each other outplay one another?

Your title is a bit misleading. She’s a former Texas Tech pitcher who’s now playing in a professional softball league I didn’t know existed.

She’s learning the hard lesson of her true market value.

They were both starting pitchers in the same game(s) against each other and Kavan got the wins & had better stats. What other definition of outplayed is there?

And she got rocked both last year and this year in the finals.

They were never on the field at the same time

They didn’t throw to the same batters

They didn’t have the same players on defense

And? Your performance as a pitcher is measured by your WINS and stats and she didn't measure up.

You really can't blame her.

Her experience is that she was given a million dollar contract. It's reasonable to expect her to view that as her value. There has been nothing in her recent life that would allow her to recognize that it isn't her value.

We all know that her actual value is much lower. She hasn't figured that out yet. She probably needs a dose of reality for her to understand how fortunate she was.

She needs to get the NIL donor to give her AUSL money. Oh, right…she just learned a lesson in economics.

Supply and demand. There is no demand for her at the next level to match the supply of money she wants.

She is overvaluing herself, spoiled from college payout.

Too bad for her, MLB doesn't cuck like the NBA.

FTR..softball is more entertaining than women's basketball.

You think Damien Harris outperformed Leonard Fournette in 2016 because he had more yards, don’t you? Even though the Alabama defensive line was in the backfield before Fournette even touched the ball
