Because it didn't look nearly as dark on TV as it actually was would be my guess.

Yeah on tv they seem to brighten things a bit. But if someone takes a pic of the course at the same time you can see how dark it actually gets when those guys are playing that late.
I didn’t think they’d be able to finish yesterday after the delay. I think it was damn near 7:00 pm when they blew the horn.

In the past, they've shown what the course actually looks like vs what it looks like with filters on TV... to explain exactly this. "Just in case you don't think it's dark enough to halt play..." sort of thing. It's quite the difference.

Im going to say this, and it will probably sounds really dumb to all the golf snobs in here. I don't understand why golfers who are playing good, winning loads of tournaments and majors like Scheffler was, go and change their swing. I get you wanna get "better", or whatever the hell. But if you are winning at the clip he was winning, why go and frick with your swing and now you aren't winning......
