Give a link to what you are using then. It's not that hard. If you are going to use different stats state what you are using.

Yall are looking at two different offensive stat rankings (total vs points), and if either are you needed that explained to you, lulz.

I've linked to FPI, S&P and FEI and you all dismiss them

3 metrics that use opponent adjusted, tempo free statistics

But stats like "total defense" or "scoring defense" which are not tempo or opponent adjusted is better?

FPI is still a good metric. Even if you think its bad, what about S&P or FEI. They seem to be on the same page as FPI.

Newsflash: Preseason estimates are just that, estimates

But once you have actual in season data to go off of, the metric becomes a lot more accurate

Any metric, preseason or not, that gave Michigan a better chance than Ohio State to win the Big Ten should not be trusted. I mean, come on, Michigan hasn't done anything in recent years to warrant that, and you can't say they had a better team than Ohio State, even before this game or the season.

I agree with you but the rest of the nation thinks that this is the year! But next year never seems to come. Like Texas.

Do you even know how preseason metrics are calculated?

If you did, it would make total sense.

And Georgia is ahead of South Carolina in it.

What's your point?

Has something to do with what you did last year iirc? I haven't paid much attention to them because I can't much stock in something that still predicts Alabama over LSU after the game was settled on the field and it was alot more lopsided than the scoreboard shows

South Carolina is 4-8 and Georgia is 11-1. It's not hard to tell that Georgia is actually the better team they just weren't on that day.

Alabamas resume isn't nearly as impressive as LSU's. So Alabamas resume is worse and they have a loss to LSU while LSU has beat better teams and has a win over Alabama. Explain how Alabama is above LSU. Also FPI likely doesn't account for Tua being out for the rest of the season and this Bama isn't as strong as they were with him.
