Imagine the celebration of the winners of Regions and the Final Four 
. It's almost comical. Atlanta has to be furious about this. That's like 80k people who won't be in attendance to buy concessions or stay in hotels or go to local businesses.

The overreaction to something that has infected maybe 1000 people in the US when the flu typically infects 30 million a year. Feel bad for all the tourism/service industry workers that depend on tips for their incomes. They're getting absolutely crushed right now with all the major events being cancelled.

That would be fun but I'd imagine they want to keep the resources that come with the big arenas: better locker rooms, training rooms, easier setup for broadcasting, etc.

The reality is that we'll end up with several thousand deaths in the often-discussed categories, the spread will slow, and it will be in part because of the "drastic" measures taken.
Then people will go "LOL the overreaction was ridiculous only some old people died" and we'll act like there was never any real risk.
And then in 10 years a virus with SARS (20%) death rate and COVID-like contagiousness will proper frick all of us because we did nothing in the intervening decade.
